DOSIER posted by Mountaineer Echo Newspaper on Monday, April 2, 2001

Yakima Valley Wash News column by Frankie Seay Mt. Echo Apr 12, 2001 issue: [I KNOW I transcribed the obit for Arthy DOSIER but I can't find it now] It was a shock to read in the Echo about Arthy Dosier passing away. He was one of those people you've known forever and feel like he'll always be there. I knew him for about 60 years and liked him. He will always be associated with memories of school at Yellville. I think he went to school just for the fun of it, would take any grade over just to be with the class mem bers he liked and was a friend to everyone (ex cept maybe the teachers!). He was older than I, so I was never in his class, but I remember funny things he did and how well liked he was. I was in study hail the day he rang the bell to dis miss school about an hour early-we all loved him for that! He was always ready to have fun, that's what he was thereo for4 So many storits about Arthy are told whenever school days are being remembered, but be was just a friendly, well-liked person. My sympathy to his family, especially Joyce and the kids

MILUM, ROGERS, YOUNG posted by Mountain Echo Newspaper on Sunday, April 29, 2001

Mountain Echo Newspaper, Yakima Valley (Wash.) News, by Frankie Seay, Week of May 10, 2001 issue: Alonzo YOUNG talked to his sister, Lucille ROGERS of Pyatt, on her 80th birthday and she told him of the death of Wakely MILUM who has been in the nursing home at Mountain Home for a few years. I had a call from her son, Joe, a few months ago telling me where his mother was, close to him, and I hated to hear of her death. Joe was the only child of L.D. and Wakely and I remember them from Pyatt where Wakely taught school, in the lower grades, and Alonzo and Billie remember her for the care she gave their son, Charles, who was handicapped with a bad heart at the time (Charles has since had surgery at May Brothers and is doing great) but Wakley was a nice, caring person and will be missed by many people. She and L.D. also had a service station on the highway out of Pyatt and will be remembered from there. My sympathy to Joe and the rest of Wakely's family, she was another nice person from my younger days, she and L.D. were good people.

I go the call early Thursday morning and he's bee on all our minds since, such an unexpected loss for his family. I've known Holland most of my life and have been his sister-in-law for the last 56 years, and I know how much he was loved and will be missed by the family as well as in the communities of Yellville and Mull where he was raised. He is the third son of the family to pass away, Lee survives, as well as all the daughters of the family and my thoughts are with all of them as well as with Bernetta, Monty, Holly and their families.

Mountain Echo Newspaper, Yakima Valley (Wash.) News, by Frankie Seay, Week of May 10, 2001 issue: Another death in our Arkansas community here in Yakima was that of Oweta (GILLEY) FREEMAN who passed away with cancer on April 26, after just a short time of knowing she had cancer and maybe that was for the best. Oweta was the daughter of the late Doshia (RHOTON) WILLS and stepdaughter of Ab WILLS, all former Marion County people who also passed away here. She is survived by one son and his family of Oregon who had recently been here to see Oweta and Gale, and a sister, Geraldine GOODY, of the Tri Cities. Oweta and Gale were married in Arkansas but lived here for many years and where you saw one of them, you saw the other one so Gale is really going to be lost. He and their children have our sympathy as well as Oweta's aunt Wilma RHOTON who has known Oweta all her life as she was just three years old when Wilma married her uncle Ward RHOTON and Gale and Oweta have been so good to Wilma, visiting her and bringing her the Mountain Echo every week and she's already missing her. No services have been announced yet for Oweta.

We were never around them much as we grew up but our mothers (Delia, Loretta, and Effie) talked so much about them, Uncle Ab was a brother of our maternal grandfather, John Frank ADAMS, all raised in the Tomahawk and Greasy Creek area and the cousins all loved Edna and visited her after they were grown and married and lived around Yellville and Pyatt. Edna was such a sweet person and Victor RUE and her family all have our sympathy. As far as we know, she was the last of our mother's cousins.

BIGBY, MILLER posted by Mountain Echo Newspaper on Sunday, April 29, 2001

Mountain Echo Newspaper, Yakima Valley (Wash.) News by Frankie Seay, Week of May 31, 2001 issue: We received word last week of the death of Bud MILLER, who was the husband of Sandra Kay "Sandy" (BIGBY) MILLER, who lives at The Dalles, Ore., now, but was born in Yakima to Ellis and Virgie BIGBY, former Pyatt residents. Bud was in a Portland hospital when he passed away, suffering from internal hemorrhages and a heart attack. He and Sandy have one son, Vince, who also lives at The Dalles and Sandy is a secretary there. She has another son, Kevin, who grew up at Gleed and I last saw Sandy and Kevin at Virgie's funeral here some years ago. Sandy and her family have our sympathy. I also saw her grow up in Gleed, along with her brother Sam. Sam went down for Bud's funeral, but I haven't seen him since he got home. Sam and Allene BIGBY live at Naches where he works at Lymon's Lumber Mill and are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren-six boys and six girls. One of the boys, Matt's son, is brand new, so they're all excited about him. Allene attended beauty school a few years ago, specializing in nails, and is now a "nail artist," working in manicures and pedicures at Salon at Lakeside, a new shop by Shari's Café in the new addition on Fruitvale across from Fred Myers at 40th and Fruitvale. They're a great couple and have a nice family.
