Mt. Echo Newspaper, Dec 28, 2000 issue "Yakima Valley (Wash.) News" column by Frankie Sea (Dec 20, #312): Ken and Barb [Kenneth and Barbara HUDSON] received an email from Chester and Mary CAVANESS and it may not be news to the Arkansas relatives by now, but Mary Neva's sister-in-law, Aide (GILLEY) KEETER, passed away Dec. 26 in Tulare, Calif., and I believe her death was unexpected, as some here had Christmas cards and letters from her and both she and Roy seemed to be doing well. She was a daughter of the late Hershel and Exter Gilley, was born and raised in the Georges Creek area, along with siblings Etheal, Johnnie, Vertle, Etoise, Alvin and R,G. All the children went to school at Georges Creek. Alice married Roy KEETER (son of Jeff and Virgie) and they raised their daughters in California- Sybil of Tuscin, Calif., and Brenda of Tulare - who both survive Aide, as well as her husband. If there were other children I haven't heard and she was to be buried at Tulare. I never knew Alice and Roy personally, but I know most of their families and my sympathy to all of them.
