I am trying to find out something about my grandfather's family. His name was Luke PARKER, born September 3,1873 in Bueno, Missouri and died on January 21, 1937 in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas. Everybody called him "Dr. Luke" so I will assume he was a doctor in that area. Surely would like to be able to trace the family farther back than that. Thanks for the assist.

Today I got one I did not request BUT it may very well be a lead for many of us. I requested the death certificate for my great grandmother Maggie (Margaret) FELTS 3-9-1870 (born in Tenn.) to 11-10-1944 (buried at Hazen Cemetery) what I got was her Mother (maybe). What I got was: (Mrs.) Maggie Melinda FELTS, Born: March 8, 1851 (66 yrs. 7 mo. 23 days). Date of Death: Oct. 31, 1917, Prairie Co. Wattensas Twsp.. Birth Place: Shelby Co. Tenn.. Father's Name: Geo. (George) Pool, Birth Place of Father: Tenn. Information on Mother was listed as Unknown. Death certificate information was given by: Thomas W. Felts of Hazen, Ark.. It is not noted who this person was to Maggie. The place of burial is listed as DeValls Bluff, Ark. Undertaker is Ben Cagle of DeValls Bluff. I have contacted the Dept. of Vital Records in Little Rock and they are going to send me the correct ceritficate and I am to return this one BUT I am going to send them another $ 7.00 and keep this one too. I find Melinda FELTS listed in the cemetery book but my book is at home so I can't check on it until later today. If anyone can lend some light on my find please let me know. I know my FELTS line came from Shelby Co. Tenn. so someone probably knows who this Maggie is that must be part of my family; I just need the connection. --------------------------------------------------

I am looking for information on my father's family line, the YOUNGERs, who lived in Prairie County, Arkansas for a short time. Orva d. 1961; wife, Myrtle d. 1919 and two sons, Marvin Alfred d. 1922 and Cole M. d 1921. I have Fairmont City. (Not sure if a town or name of the cemetery.) A grandson, Marvin Eugene YOUNGER, was born in Prairie County, Arkansas on 01-20-1931, son of Clinton Guy and Ruthmie YOUNGER. I also have Clinton Guy YOUNGER d 8-22-1998 in Bayou Meto Cemetery. Does anyone know if the old records (about 1855-1875) for the Hickory Plains Methodist Church in Prairie County, still exist? If so in what form? Who holds them? Are they published? I ask as I believe several of my relatives are buried in unmarked graves in the Hickory Plains Cemetery and I also know that the family was Methodist. Surnames include GEREN (GERON) and BYRAM (BYROM). Family moved from TN to AL to AR to TX. Any help would be appreciated! Jennifer Shipley, Dallas, TX

I am looking for an obituary for Elmer Wayne Michelsen who died December 15,2002 in Bald Knob, Arkansas. He is the biological father of my children and they would like the information to keep with their records. He formerly lived in Des Arc, Blue Hill and lastly in Bald Knob.
