I'm trying to find more about the JORDAN family. My father Manuel (or possibly Manly on some documents) Herbert JORDAN was born in Prarie County Oct 4, 1912 and died in Long Beach California. His older brother Homer lived his life in Prarie County. My grandfather was William Pleas JORDAN married to Lilly G. WEBB - also from ARK. My great grandfather was Andy JORDAN married to Martha (?) - but beyond their names I know nothing. Anything you can suggest? Thanks much Ken Jordan

Could someone check the 1880 Mortality Schedule from the Federal Census for a J.J. BARNETT? His wife Susan (a widow in 1880) and several children are listed on page 162 of the census for White River, the youngest being age 1. The Mortality Schedule is not available where I live. I have just subscribed to the Prairie County list and will ask there too. Thank you! Michael Fisk

Looking for information about the SCHENEBECK/SCHOENEBECK family around Lonoke and Prairie counties. Information I have from relatives is that John SCHENEBECK brought his wife, Sophie, and several children to Arkansas about 1877 from Illinois. He was a blacksmith by trade, but farmed land around Carlisle, Arkansas. Some of his children were: Henry W. (father of Clarence SCHENEBECK of Lonoke), William H. (father of Russell SCHENEBECK of Lonoke), Herman (father of Albert of Morrilton), Carolyn, Sophia [STEPHENS], and possibly another child named Eva. After John died Sophie married Andy WAHL. If you have ANY information about any of these people, please contact me at TRRPE@aol.com.
