KIRKPATRICK, John Wesley entered the state in 1854 near Ethel, Ark.. He settled as a pioneer close to what is now St. Charles, Ark.. Later he became a Justice of the Peace and then County Judge. He had three sons, Clarence, Thomas and James. He was my wife's GRGRGrandfather. Family records lost sometime ago in fire. Looking for information as to wife's name, and his ancestors. He was a 2nd Lt. in 25th Ark. Inf. CSA.. He and wife are buried in the St. Charles, Ark. area. Would appreciate any information and will share what I have. We currently live in VA. and do not have ready access to any sources. Believe the Arkansas Gazette or Democrat did a write up on him many years ago. Thanks in advance for any help. E: olerb@rica.net

BARNES - Searching for info on the Bartley BARNES family who migrated to Prairie Co (present Lonoke Co) in the mid 1850's. Bartley's 1862 will indicated they lived on Plum Bayou and land was left to sons, Robert and Thomas, and daughter, Jane WATERS. I am descended from Robert, but would like to know what happened to Thomas and Jane. Also, where Bartley and wife, Mary, are buried.
