ANTHONY posted by Larry Anthony on Thursday, April 16, 1998: I am seeking information on W. D. (William Davis) ANTHONY who was surveyor in Prairie Co. from 1866-1868. He received a confederate pension. He was a son of Phillip Lee ANTHONY of Little Rock. Phillip Lee ANTHONY worked with his father James Crenshaw ANTHONY who had built the Anthony House (hotel) in Little Rock...reportedly the first brick hotel west of the Mississippi.

They were Francis Marion HOLLIDAY b Oct 1857 MS d aft 1920 and Mary Margaret (BANKS) HOLLIDAY b Jan 1872 d aft 1920. Also, their granddaughter, Margaret, who lived with them. She was my half sister.

His adult life was spent in Jackson County, married Hazel Pearl JONES early 1900's and had 7 children, (my mother being the second oldest). This is our last record of Ezekial other than the Military Land Warrant of 160 acres in Prairie County, AR in Section 35, township 2 North, Range 5 West, with signature of 1833.
