   Linda, This is an unknown, beautiful young lady. The photograph was found among Dink and Flossie BERRY's possessions. Dink BERRY was born 1877 in Etoile, Barren County KY to William Franklin BERRY and Mary Elizabeth MATTHEWS. Dink's father died before 1880 KY census, and Dink and his widowed mother moved to Marion County, AR shortly after that. Several of her MATTHEWS siblings also moved there. Among them were Jasper N MATTHEWS, Mary Ann (MATTHEWS) GREGORY, Sarah Beth (MATTHEWS) GREGORY and Justin MATTHEWS.

   Mary Elizabeth (MATTHEWS) BERRY married William Gowan "Dock" McCRACKEN around 1883 in Marion county. They had one daughter, Lola Myrtle McCRACKEN, born 1884. She married Solomon Henry KING 1901 in Marion County, AR... I think. They remained in Marion County for many years but ended up in OK. I have wondered if this could possibly be a picture of Lola (Dink's half sister) when she got married, but I don't know why the picture would have been taken in OK in that case. The term South McAlester was used until 1907 when the federal government forced McAlester and South McAlester in Indian Territory to combine under the single name McAlester.
   Dink married Laura Flossie JENKINS (1878-1964). She was the daughter of George W. JENKINS and Jane SANDERS of Marion county, AR, so there could be a connection to those families as well. Dink and Flossie's children and their spouses are not the right age for this picture. Neither are any of the BERRY's that remained in KY.
