What's New at the Marion County Site?

A new search engine is on the main page now. Site map is available (button next for Free Find search box). On the Homepage page all links now open in a new window. Updated the links on Marion Co Sister Counties Resource page.August 4, 2008: A new google search engine is up on the main page. Please update your bookmarks (favorites) with our new address - http://www.argenweb.net/marion The Marion Co site had been on RootsWeb for about 11 years so moving is no easy chore. While we're moving we're also do some long overdue housekeeping which means that if you have certain places within the site bookmarked you may find the links broken, if you do go to the main page and follow the link from there. In fact, for awhile you may find broken links anywhere within the site. If you do please let me know so I can fix them. Our new host server has many things that RootsWeb didn't offer and we will taking advantage of some of them. That means the look and feel of the site will be evolving for the next few months. Currently we have a great supply of the softbound books in stock. The hardbound books should be available any. This book is the second in the picture book series. It covers more people and most all of the schools, past and present. If you liked the first picture book, you will love this one. - See Books for Sale for price and ordering this wonderful edition. Also in the near future there will be a third book in the series on "Places in Marion County", so check back soon for the new edition in this pictures series of books. . It is entitled "Tell Me A Story, Mama" This will be her third and final ?? book on her life and times in Rush Arkansas. It is filled with Humor and Love and as always lots of pictures for that town and time. These books can be pre ordered at a cost of $35 plus $6 shipping and handling. Also from Vicki, "Early Days of Marion County Arkansas by Marian Burnes has been retyped and republished by Vicki Roberts. It can be purchased for $35 a copy plus $6 handling and shipping.
