Mountaineer Echo Newspaper Week of March 11, 2004 issue: Robert F. "Bob" RESHAN, CAPT. USAR, RET., age 86, died Thursday, March 4, 2004. He was born January 2, 1918, in Whiting, Indiana, to Miklos and Julia BORSCH RESHAN. He moved to Bull Shoals from Ravine, Wisconsin, in 1979, and married the former Euelyn YOUNG UNDERHILL on August 10, 1996, in Mountain Home. A retired national service manager with American Motors, he was a member of the Bethania Lutheran Church in Racine and chaired the building of the church's education wing. He was an associate member of the Mountain Home First United Methodist Church; was a lifetime member of the Hoevel-Barnett V.F.W. Post in Bull Shoals; was past president of the Bull Shoals-Lakeview Rotary Club, and while president sponsored the Mid-Marion County Rotary Club in Yellville and the Interact Club at Flippin High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking and was listed by "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine as one the Top Ten Best Outdoor Cooks in America. A World War II U. S. Army veteran, he earned a battlefield commission in the Battle of the Bulge. He was active in many civic and philanthropic organizations. Survivors are his wife: Euelyn RESHAN: of the home; two brothers, Thomas (Shirley) and Harry (Eleanor) RESHAN: Ravine, Wisconsin; one sister, Florence (Howard) OLSON: Parker, Colorado; two stepsons, Brian (Stephanie) UNDERHILL: Glendale, Arizona and Douglas (Wendy) UNDERHILL: Pensacola, Florida; five grandchildren, Brittany, Bret, Avery, Justin and Alexis UNDERHILL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Marion RESHAN; and two brothers, Jimmy and Dick RESHAN. A reception of friends was held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Twin Lakes Cremations Society and Funeral Home in Bulls with a memorial service following at 2:00 P.M. Mr. RUSHING died Sunday March 7, 2004 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1937 to James Frank and Martha Ann SMITH RUSHING in Fouke, Arkansas. He married Mary Jo BRUFLODT on July 27, 1978 at Texarkana, Arkansas. He was an Oil Field Tool Pusher for Santa Fe Drilling. He lived in Yellville for 22 and one-half years since moving from California. He was Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Dorthy PHARR. Mr. MEYERS died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was 75. He was born December 5, 1928 at Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Anna MORVAK MEYERS. He married Vivian ZLEBIS at Oaklawn, Illinois in 1956 and had resided in the Bull Shoals area since moving from Oaklawn, Illinois in 1976. He was a former sales clerk for Wal-Mart and a member of Bull Shoals Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife Vivian; four sons, Chuck, Forrest, and Robert (Judy) MEYERS of Fairview, Arkansas and William MEYERS of Bull Shoals; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. HICKEY was born December 4, 1942 at Scotland, Arkansas to John and Ruby WILLIAMS FLORY. On December 22, 1967, she married Glen Dale HICKEY. Mrs. HICKEY was a Home Economics teacher for 22 years for Flippin School District. She also taught at Bruno-Pyatt and Yellville Summit School Districts. She was a lifetime member of the Arkansas Teacher's Association and member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association. Born in Scotland, she moved to Clinton in the ninth grade. She received her Masters Degree in Home Economics from UCA. She as a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Harmon, AR. Survivors include her husband, Glen Dale HICKEY of Yellville, AR; son, Glen Daniel HICKEY and wife Melissa of Yellville, AR; daughter, Glenda Joanna HICKEY ROZEBOOM and husband Brent of Bruno, AR; brother, Gary FLORY and wife LaVonne of Morrilton, AR; grandchildren, Makala Joy ROZEBOOM and Caleb Anthony ROZEBOOM; nephews, Tim and wife Teresa and Steve and wife Marr Lynn FLORY; and great nieces, Shelby Dawn and Callie. Born September 4, 1924, in Downsville, New York, he was the son of Frank REICHMAN and Lulu Constance WILL REICHMAN. He was a 1952 graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois. He was a World War II Veteran, serving as a Sea Bee in the U.S. Navy. Mr. REICHMAN was the founding pastor of the Cedar Heights Bible Church in Diamond City, Arkansas and served there from 1963 to 1989. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joyce WAIDLER REICHMAN, and wife of 12 years, Helen WHITCOMB REICHMAN Rev. REICHMAN was a very caring and giving person, active with Youth Bible Camps and other Children's Ministries. He was Chaplain for American Legion at Diamond City. Bill was active in scouting, a BSA Scoutmaster for Lead Hill Troop 153 and Camp Chaplain for Camp Orr. Rev. REICHMAN volunteered as a builder and maintenance man for Kingsway Christian Academy in Nassau, Bahamas. He also had a nursing home ministry and was a tutor for the Dogwood Literacy Council of Siloam Springs. Survivors include two sons, Living REICHMAN and wife and Rev. Mrs. TAYLOR was buried in Osborne Cemetery. Her grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included Les KEETER and Brad BALDRIDGE. The only daughter of Sam and Jane RAINES DAVIS, Mrs. Taylor was born of May 21, 1914 in St. Joe. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of the St. Joe area. Her parents; her husband; and her six brothers preceded Mrs. Taylor in death. She is survived by her son, Bobby KEETER and wife Nina of Yellville; daughters Glenda and husband Frank WEAKLAND of Conway and Nancy and husband Edward MARTINEZ of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. HAGE passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at home with her daughter. Mildred Charlotte HAGE was born November 3, 1917 at Catasaqua, Pennsylvania to Arthur Edward and Thamah Charlotte GROW DAVIES. She married William Krygze HAGE on June 26, 1942 in Akron, Ohio. Mrs. HAGE was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, bird watching, and was an avid gardener. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Deland, Florida. Mrs. HAGE is survived by her daughter, Barbara Charlotte BRUCE and her husband, Fred, of Mountain Home; a son, Sidney William HAGE of Stockholm, Sweden; two grandsons: Ryan PALERMO of Georgia and Brad PALERMO of New York; a granddaughter, Cori PALERMO of North Carolina and three great grandchildren all of Florida, Anthony PALERMO, Joshua PALERMO and Katheryn PALERMO. She was 57 years old. Mrs. WELCH was born December 6, 1946 at Harrison, Arkansas to Averill and Betty WATKINS BARRETT. On March 26, 1966, she married Jim WELCH. Mrs. WELCH was the Executive Director of the Yellville Housing Authority. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. She moved to Yellville at the age of 19 after graduating from Raytown, Missouri High School in 1964. She enjoyed life with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Jim WELCH of Yellville, AR; daughters, Jessica KELLEY, Melissa WILSON and Jennifer WELCH all of Yellville, AR; mother, Mrs. Betty BARRETT of Yellville, AR; brothers, Donald BARRETT of Camdenton, MO, A.J. Masonic Services will be provided by Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225. Mr. NELSON passed away Monday, March 29, 2004 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. Arthur Henry NELSON was born May 28, 1922 at Lake Mills, Iowa, to Charles and Agnes HASSELBERG NELSON. He married Violet Marie NESS on August 20, 1949 at Berwyn, Illinois. Mr. NELSON was a wood pattern maker for International Harvester for the majority of his career and also a real estate agent. During his 25 years of retirement, he and Violet vacationed in Florida and Arizona each year to escape Wisconsin winters. They moved to Bull Shoals in 1999 from Wisconsin where Mr. NELSON had enjoyed many years of fishing and hunting. Mr. NELSON was a WWII veteran having served in the Air Corps in England. France, Belgium and Germany. He was a Shriner, Mason and member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. NELSON is survived by his wife, Violet NELSON, of Bull Shoals; two sons: Curtis NELSON of Wautoma, Wisconsin and Keven (Barbara) NELSON of Boise, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. NELSON was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by his three sisters and one brother. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
