George Lee WILLIAMS. Was born in Marion County May 30, 1880 a son of Joe and Louise (DOSIER) WILLIAMS. He passed away at the Boone County Hospital September 5, 1976 at the age of 96. He was a retired farmer and stockman and had been a resident of Boone County for the past 50 years. His first wife, Minnie BAKER WILLIAMS passed away March 24, 1951. He later married Walsie JONES. A daughter, Nella SCRIVNER also preceded him in death. He is survived by, his wife, Walsie of the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home, 3 sons, Troy of Harrison, Clyde of Everton, Ernest of Winfield, KS. Also 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Services Beckham Church, September 7, 1976, 2:00 pm. Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR 3 Feb 1977 James Loy HALL, aged 59, died Monday, Jan 31 in the Baxter General Hospital in Mountain Home. He was retired from the U S Air Force. Mr HALL was born Aug 28, 1917 in Marion County to Arc and Memory BURRIS HALL. He was a member of the VFW in Bull Shoals, and a veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Full military rites were conducted in the Burns Chapel on Wednesday, Feb 2 at 10 a.m. with Rev George ROYCE officiating. Burial was in the Hurst Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul HUMPHREY, Lee HUMPHREY, Virgil HUMPHREY, Donnie FOSTER, Don WYNN and Odis HUMPHREY. Survivors include one daughter, Dianna CRANOR of Cotter; one sister, Lois HURST of Flippin; a niece and nephew and one grandchild. All arrangements were made by the Burns Funeral Home of Yellville.
Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR 17 Feb 1977 Virginia Bell HALL, aged 76, of Commerce, Okla., died Friday, Feb 11 at the Miami Baptist Hospital. Mrs HALL had lived in Oklahoma for the past 55 years. She was born Oct 23, 1900 in Yellville and was married to the late Arthur HALL. Survivors include two sons, Donald HALL of New York City, and L Eugene HALL of Springfield, VA; two daughters, Norma Sue HALL of the home, Mrs Melba BEAVER of Commerce; a brother, C C HOLLOWELL of Collinsville, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs Eula MADDUX of Commerce, and Mrs Euna RICHARDSON of Washington, DC; and three grandchildren. Services were held on Monday, Feb 14 at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Commerce, with Rev Harold COBB officiating. Burial was in the GAR Cemetery.
