He was born Jan 15, 1890, near Yellville to Henry and Hulda BUNDY GAINES and was a retired railroad man. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude SINOR GAINES. Survivors include two sons, J R GAINES of San Diego, Calif., Kenneth GAINES of Mt Vernon, MO, two daughters, Mrs Inez SMITH, Strafford, MO, Mrs Lucille McGINNIS, Springfield, MO, nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A sister-in-law, Mrs Ellar HANNEY of Gassville and a brother-in-law, Truman SINOR of Mountain Home also survive. Funeral services were held at the Big Flat Church of Christ on April 9, Hayden MAHON, officiating. Burial was in the Big Flat Cemetery, Big Flat, Ark.

A lifelong resident of Marion County, he was born December 2, 1924 to Levi and Eva (PANGLE) JOHNSON. Mr JOHNSON was a carpenter and a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include his wife Bonnie (PARNELL) of the home; one daughter, Mrs Evalyn QUINN of Hazelwood, MO; one brother, Jack JOHNSON, Flippin; one sister, Mrs Reba PATRICK of Elkins, Ark.; and two granddaughters. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at the Flippin Christian Church, Rev Bob TROSPER, officiating. Burial was in the Flippin Cemetery.
