Cam Cowdrey Dies Sunday At Age 70 Cam L. COWDREY, a retired businessman, died Sunday, July 5 in a local hospital at the age of 70. Born January 1, 1900 in Yellville, Ark., Mr. COWDREY had made his home in Newport for a the past five and one-half years. At the time of his retirement in 1960, he was associated with Continental Trailways Bus Co. in Little Rock. He was a former owner of an automobile agency in Yellville. A member of the Highland Baptist Church in Little Rock, Mr. COWDREY was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Yellville Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife, Pinkie; a son, C. L. COWDREY Jr.. of DeQueen; two sisters, Mrs. John JEFFERSON of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. E. N. Kriby of Ventura, Calif.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tureday in Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Watkins of Newport officiating. Services will also be held at the First Baptist Church in Yellville with Masonic graveside services in Yellville.

He was born Jan. 22, 1905 at Advance, AR., the son of W. W. and Ida Lee (SPEARS) TREAT. He had lived in Marion County 52 years, coming here from Stone County. Survivors are his wife, Winnie ERVIN TREAT of the home; two sons, Donald Lee TREAT of Flippin, and Bobby Gene TREAT of Fayetteville; a daughter, Sandra Kay ROBERTS of Cave Springs; his mother, Mrs. Ida Lee TREAT of a Yellville rest home; three brothers, Sheppard A. TREAT of Cowiche, WA.; Shelby R. TREAT, Yellville; and J. L. TREAT of Iola, KS.; four sisters, Ruby WILLIAMS, Elsie WOODS, Obeta HUDDLESTON, all of Flippin, and Beatrice BERG of Leavenworth, KS.; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 10 in the Flippin Baptist Church with Rev. Troy MELTON and Rev. Eldon KING in charge. Burial was in the Flippin cemetery.

She was born at Flippin June 11, 1894 to Willis and Mollie BURRIS YOUNGER and had lived her lifetime in Marion County. Survivors are two sons, Russell HALL of Amarillo, Texas, and Luther HALL of Buena Park, Calif.; two daughters, Norma TERRY and Audra HODGES, both of Flippin; a sister, Hester WOOD of Anaheim, Calif.; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug 8 at the First Baptist Church in Flippin with the Rev Howard KING officiating. Burial was in the Hurst Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hal TERRY, John JAMES, Lonnie BURCH, Loy HALL, Ambrose PILGRIM and Burl MICHELL. Honorary pallbearers, were Jerry PILGRIM, Otis BURRIS, Paul MARBERRY, R D SANDERS and Floyd HOLDEN.

He was born at Rea Valley Sept. 3, 1872, the son of Elijah and Martha (OTT) HALL. He married Laura BURRUSS Nov. 29, 1903. Mr. OTT [sic, should say HALL] was a retired farmer and had lived all his life in Marion County. Four daughters and three sons survive, Mrs. Laura YATES, Lockeford, CA, Mrs. Ruby MANN, Albion, IL, Mrs. Dorothy DUDLEY, Iuka, IL, Mrs. Georgia HOLDEN, Luther B. HALL and Roy C. HALL, all of Flippin, and John Willie HALL, Harrison. Sixteen grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Nov. 15 at the Flippin Baptist Church with Rev. Ray EDWARDS and Rev. Harlen HICKS officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Garland OTT, Herbert OTT, Owen BURRIS, Edgar FLETCHER, Alfred HALL, and Bill Joe HODGES. Honorary pallbearers were Charley OTT, John SNIPES, George HORNER and Harve DOSHIER.
