The 1890 Census was destroyed. This tax list was prepared in 1893, just 3 years after the taking of the 1890 Census. There is no way of knowing how complete this listing is. However it is one of the few listings of residents close to 1890. Read about the 1891 Election Law that had an impact on AR elections after 1891.

This Voters List was recorded on pages 29-51 in a small ledger book containing other miscellaneous information. The List is only Alpha by the first letter of a last name. The names within the letters of the alphabet are not alphabetized by surname. The names seem to be in the order in which the men registered.

Please help correct incorrect spellings in the below lists by sending me the page number, the name as listed and the correct spelling. Most of this list uses only initials for first names. If you know the first name of someone on the list please send it to me. Thanks Linda (email bottom of page)
