MARION COUNTY AR
CONFEDERATE PENSIONS 1891-1898
(Record Book "A")

Transcribed / Abstracted by Linda Haas Davenport

Dividing Line

Transcribing old records represents many hours of hard work. Please respect the work of the transcriber. Feel free to use this information in your personal research records. Do not copy the content for any other use or place this content on any webpage/website. If you want to use this information please link to this page.

This small ledger uses pages 1-7 and then pages 13-14 for reports of the Marion County Confederate Pension Board. It covers the years 1891-1898. I will transcribe, in full, the first court report and abstract the rest since the wording is the same each year.

As with so many of these old records the handwriting is hard to read. In this instance it is really hard to figure out the names because they are schrunched into a small area to allow for three columns on the page. If I've made a mistake on a name or obviously screwed up the disability - Please send me the correction (email below). Thanks. Linda
