Blythe Township
Information & Map
Blythe Township was created in 1838 and is one of Marion Co's original townships. It first appeared as a township on the 1840 Census with a population of 274.
A part of Blythe was taken to create Prairie Township between the 1840 and 1850 census. After Prairie Township was annexed to Boone Co in 1869 and before the 01 Jun 1880 census a part of Blythe Township was used to create a new Prairie Township
Parts of Blythe Township were also given to Dodd City Township between the 1870 and 1880 censuses and to Summit Township in 1905.
