Marion Co TOC

Charles "Charlie" G Lewallen, son of Joseph G Lewallen & Elizabeth Due, was born ca 1853 in TN, died 20 May 1886 in Flippen Marion Co AR of TB. His place of burial is unknown. He married Emily Angeline ALLEN 25 Dec 1876 in Marion Co, AR. She was the daughter of John ALLEN and Sarah Elizabeth VANCE.
The Lewallens moved to Flippin, White River Township between 1860-1870 from Independence Co. Charlie homesteaded in Flippin and taught school in both Yellville and Flippin

This photo is a copy made from the original picture which was in an old oval, gilt frame and the photo was stuck to the glass. The top of the frame covered the top of his head. The original photo was in the possession of Charlie's son, William Lewallen. The photo was made a few months before Charlie's death.
