MEET

Submitted by: Harriet Preston (ditz@prodigy.net)

I found this picture in my aunt's things. It is a clipping of some Marion Co. men running for office. Maybe you can use it. I do not know when it was taken but someone else may know.

Update: Harve Doshier, the owner of the photo does know, and he says: "This old picture was taken in March of 1908. It was taken at old 61 School which was located near the former Tom Sims farm, just west of the Gary spring.

The individuals in the picture were all candidates for election or reelection.
Back Row left to right: John Nanney, sheriff candidate for reelection; J.D. Summers, county judge candidate for reelection; Doc Coker, George Perry, Buster Bill Hudson and Elmer Owens, all candidates for the position of Representative
Front row left to right: Bill Wingate, candidate for sheriff; Johnny Phillips candidate for county surveyor; Fred Farmer, David Nowlin, Frank Carson and Tobe Keeter, all candidates for county clerk."
