Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Allen was the daughter of John Allen & Emeline Gibson. She was born 9 Apr 1849 in AR (the family was living in Conway Co in 1840 and Carroll Co by 16 Oct 1850). The family had moved to White River Township, Marion Co by 5 Jul 1860. Eliza married John Wesley "Dutch" Convington 19 Feb 1871 in Yellville, Marion Co, AR. To date I haven't located Dutch and Eliza in the 1880 census, but Dutch was reported "to be moving to the J S Cowdrey's property in the east part of town" in the Mt Echo's 6 Sep 1889 issue. By 4 Jun 1900 Dutch and Eliza were living in Harrison, Boone County, AR and continued to live there until their deaths. While in Harrison the censuses reported that Eliza's occupation was "Laundress working out of her own home". Eliza died 19 Feb 1926 (on her 56th wedding anniversay) and is bured in Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison, Boone Co, AR.
