WHEN A COURTHOUSE BURNED
When I posted the information about the Marion Co courthouse having burned on the Arkansas email List. Faye (known as Birdlady on the e-mail lists) sent me the following information. I'm very grateful and hope that it will help one of you.
Faye says "Even the burned counties in Arkansas have many records available thru the state and federal government. (for those who might not know)
These are just a FEW of the sources to trace your EARLY Marion County ancestors (or for any BURNED county in Arkansas), that come to mind for me besides the materials Linda mentioned from the local library in Marion County. (Burned counties are a CHALLENGE).
