He was the son of Charles Frederick Burnes and Hardy. Notes for Thomas Burnes: He came to Marion Co., AR in 1852 in time to pay taxes in June of 1852. He brought his 10 children with him and his wife, Elizabeth Holtzclaw Burnes, daughter of Charlotte Holtzclaw and James Burnes.
