When Bull Shoals Lake was built in 1948-1950 many cemeteries had to be relocated. During the project the graves were either moved to an existing cemetery or a new cemetery was built. Some of Marion County's cemeteries were relocated to existing or new cemeteries in neighboring counties. The following is a list of the new cemeteries scheduled to be built during the project by the Corp of Engineers. The name of the scheduled to be built cemetery was used on the individual cemetery Survey Maps, even it the new cemetery wasn't built. If the remains were moved to an existing cemetery that information is included below.

Dividing Line

Casey-Yandell Cemetery: Either a new cemetery under this name wasn't ever built or its name was changed to Mount Olive Cemetery. Located in Mildred, Taney Co, MO behind Mt. Olive School right on the section line of NE1/4 & NW 1/4, S26, T23N, R20W.

Midway Cemetery: Located 4.9 miles west-northwest of Bull Shoals in Marion Co west of Midway on the road that passes by Midway School and through the town of Midway. 10 miles southeast of HWY 14 and 1/2 mile northwest of Midway School. The cemetery is built with part of it in section 4 and part in section 3, south of Midway T20N, R16W in Cedar Creek Township.

Milum Cemetery: Located in Boone Co, AR. A new section was added to this existing cemetery to house the relocated graves. Located off of Hwy 43 behind Lead Hill in S5, T20N, R18W.

New Friend Cemetery: Located in Ozark Co, MO on a county road one mile east of Isabelle, MO (MO Hwy 80) on the dividing line between SE 1/4 & SW 1/4, S9, T22N, R15W.

New Kissee Mills Cemetery: Located in Taney County, MO. In the upper NW corner of SE 1/4 of NE 1/4, S1, T23N, R20W.

New Oakland Cemetery: Located in Baxter County, AR on Hwy 5, 1/2 mile south of the MO / AR line on the road to Gainsville, MO in the extreme lower left corner of S16, T21N, R14W.

New Parrish Cemetery: Located in Boone Co. This is one of the few Survey maps that does not show the actual section, township, range location of the cemetery. The map states that the cemetery is in a pasture 290 feet off a road that is 3.0 miles southeast of Hwy 14 in the vicinity of Lowry, AR.

New Peel Cemetery: Located in Marion Co AR across the street from the Church of Christ Cemetery and behind the Missionary Baptist Church in Peel AR off of HWY 125 in S34, T21N, R17W in Keesee Township.

New Riddle Cemetery: Located in Taney Co MO the NW Corner of SW 1/4 of NW 1/4, S20, T21N, R17W on a county road 3.5 miles south of Protem MO and 2.3 miles south of MO Hwy 125.

New Turnbo Cemetery: Located in Ozark Co, MO. The cemetery sits on the dividing line of Section 4 & 5 in the SW corner of SW 1/4 of SE 1/4, S4, T21N, R15W

New Wildcat Cemetery Apparently this cemetery wasn't built. The remains that were scheduled to be relocated to the New Wildcat Cemetery ended up being relocated in Fairview Cemetery in Marion Co, AR.
