I am Jeana (Parker) Houghton, the current host of this website. I do not live in Marion Co, but my parents and their ancestors were born and raised here going back about 175 years. I want to give full credit for this site to Linda Haas Davenport. Words cannot express all that Linda gave to anyone researching Marion Co, Arkansas via this website. She would want everyone to know that she did not do it alone. Linda had help from so many wonderful people. Unfortunately Linda passed away suddenly but this site is one of many amazing legacies she has left for all to enjoy.

The Marion County Heritage Society is active and helpful. Their physical location is 414 W 3rd St, Yellville, AR. The current president is Shelley Ledbetter.
