Obituary of Mary Ann DRAKE in The Bellingham Herald (Bellingham, Washington) 4 February 1921. Mrs. Mary Ann DRAKE is Summoned at Age of 60. Mrs. Mary Ann DRAKE died yesterday at the home of her son, Frank DRAKE, 1108 Harris avenue, at the age of 60 years. Mrs. DRAKE, as Mary Ann WILLIAMS, was born in Yellville, Ark., April 13, 1861. She was married to James DRAKE on February 9, 1882, removing to Bellingham twenty-one years ago. Mr. DRAKE died about nine years ago. At the time of her death Mrs. DRAKE was a member of the First Christian church of Bellingham, having transferred her membership to this place with her removal here twenty-one years ago. Two sons and two daughters survive their mother, Frank DRAKE and Mrs. Mabel TRUE, residing in this city, while Mrs. Mamie SEIM makes her home in Seattle and Howard DRAKE resides at Sand Point, Idaho. Two grandchildren, Philip TRUE and James SEIM, also survive the deceased. Interment will be made tomorrow afternoon in Bay Vie! w cemetery, following services in H. O. BINGHAM's undertaking establishment, under the pastorate of Rev. W. F. REAGOR, pastor of the First Christian church.

Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR 28 Apr 1921 On Wednesday evening of last week about 10 o'clock, little Winnifred Mary Dell PARNELL, the six-months old baby of Mr and Mrs Ed PARNELL of Flippin, died of complication of whooping cough and pneumonia. The body was laid to rest Thursday in the cemetery at Flippin. The bereaved parents have the sympathies of their many friends in their sad bereavement.

AVEY, NORMAN, STEVENS posted by Mt Echo Newspaper on Thursday, May 26, 1921

Mt. Echo Newspaper Floyd AVEY who killed John STEVENS and Garfield NORMAN in Stone County on March 5th, was tried at Mountain View last week for Killing. NORMAN, and found guilty of first degree murder and the penalty fixed was life imprisonment. (Additional June 6, 1921 issue:) Floyd AVEY who was convicted of first degree murder at the last term of the Stone Circuit Court for Killing Garfield NORMAN has returned home after having been released on a $10,000 bond in the Norman case and $1,000 bond in the STEVENS case. At the same time he killed NORMAN he killed STEVENS His attorneys have filed notice of appeal to Arkansas Supreme Court. If he had killed a half dozen men he would doubtless have been given a pension.

Mt. Echo Newspaper: The old adage that "trouble never comes singly" was verified a few days ago in the life of Mrs. Tucker LINDSEY who lives on Fallen Ash a few miles north of Yellville. On Thursday, May the 19th, her mother, Mrs MCMAHAN died at her home on Big Flat, and on Friday the 20th her daughter, Mrs Alex NORMAN died at her home near McPhearson, in Baxter. We have not learned the cause of the death of her mother, but we understand that her daughter, Mrs NORMAN had been sick for several weeks with a complication of diseases and a few day before her death she was taken to Batesville where an operation was performed.

Mt. Echo Newspaper: On last Saturday Eld. PARROTT went to the home of Mr. Wm. BUTLER near Hall Mountain to conduct the funeral service of Mr. BUTLER'S wife, before the funeral party left for the cemetery at Yellville. He started to accompany the party to Yellville, and while crossing the Crooked creek he got into deep water, and came very near being drowned, and was forced to return to his home.

Mt. Echo Newspaper: He also informed us that Ross COPELAND of Keesee township died last Friday, after a very short illness, and was buried Saturday in the Peel cemetery. He left two little girls, his wife having died a few years ago
