Mrs. CLAYBORN had previously worked at the Mar-Bax Shirt Company for ten years and Baxter Laboratories for eleven years before retiring. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Bull Shoals and was of the Assembly of God faith. Mountaineer Echo Newspaper Week of December 28, 2006 issue: Nola Ruedean FINLEY SWANSON, formerly of Flippin, Arkansas and Yellville, Arkansas died Wednesday December 6, 2006. She was born December 23, 1931 in Flippin and spent her youth in Flippin and Yellville. She went on to live the rest of her life in Monroe and Youngsville, Louisiana. She was first and foremost a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great friend to all who knew her and loved her. Her best friend and husband, Lloyd SWANSON preceded her in death in 1996. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her foster parents, Gus and Duff FLIPPIN, who loved her as their very own; and her sister, Mary Jo. She is survived by her beloved son and grandson, the stars of her life; two sisters; and one brother.

Mr. STEVENS was born March 16, 1951 at Kansas City, Missouri, to Wiley and Mrs. STEVENS. He was married on August 25, 1969, at Edgerton, Kansas. He was in the construction business and worked for R.W. Lengenfelter. He lived in Osawatomie, Kansas before moving to Flippin in 1991. Mr. STEVENS worked at Ranger boats and enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of the Living Word Church in Mountain Home. A former resident of Carterville, Illinois, Mr. SIZEMORE has been a member of this community for 29 years. He is a former member of the IBEW Local 702 in West Frankfort, IL, a member of the Rae Valley Baptist Church and was also associated with the Rae Valley Volunteer Fire Department where he was instrumental in many fundraising events. Survivors include his wife; two daughters; two grandsons of Rae Valley; a sister and brother-in-law; a brother and sister-in-law; and mother-in-law all of Carterville, IL. Mr. PACE died on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at his home. He was born April 25, 1923 in Midway, Arkansas to William Thomps and Martha Elzada JACKSON PACE. On February 15, 1947, he was married at Flippin, Arkansas. Mr. PACE was a farmer, auctioneer and was elected Howell County Sheriff in 1965. He enjoyed hunting raccoon and was one of the original board members at Junction Hill School. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ in West Plains. Survivors include his wife of the family home; three children all of West Plains, MO; six grandchildren; brothers, one of Flippin, AR and one of Grandview, WA; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, three brothers, and five sisters preceded him in death. Visitation was held Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. He was employed for 13 years as a janitor at the Marion County Courthouse and was employed for 22 years at the Ozark Milk Plant. Mr. CALLAHAN retired from the U.S. Army I 1962 as First Sgt. E7 with 20 years active duty at numerous posts in the United States, attached to General Patton's 3re Army in WWII in France and as 1st Sgt. Of the 25th MP Company 25th Division in Korea. He was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations throughout his military career. He loved being in the Army and took great pride in his military career serving his country. After retiring from the Army in 1962, he worked as a sales representative for Red Arrow and Braswell Freight Lines in San Antonio, TX. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was an active member of the Yellville Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; daughter of San Antonio, TX; son of Erie, CO; sister of Yellville, AR; niece of Mountain Home, AR; and two grandchildren Erie, CO and one of Mountain Home, AR. His parents, Harvey and Virginia CARSON CALLAHAN, sister Beulah WILLIAMS CALLAHAN, brother, Doyne CALLAHAN; and his first wife Dolores PETERSON CALLAHAN preceded him in death. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1993. Mrs. LINCK was a member of the Flippin Christian Church where she was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. She loved working in her flower gardens and her vegetable garden. She was a loving and devoted homemaker. Mr. ANSLEY was born September 29, 1945 at Albany, Georgia to Clark and Blanch MOODY ANSLEY. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant and was a Vietnam veteran. On January 29, 2003, he was married in Valdosta, Georgia and moved to Arkansas on June 13, 2004. He was a Family and Marriage Counselor at Ozark Counseling Services, enjoyed fishing, and more than anything, enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. Survivors include his mother, of Summit, AR; father, of Peel, AR; grandmother, of Peel, AR; brother and wife of Peel, AR; sister, of Lead Hill, AR; nephew, of Peel, AR; several aunts and uncles; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Maude THOMPSON, paternal grandfather, John A. CAGLE, sisters, Coral and Chrystal BAKER, niece, Andrea MCGAUGHEY, uncles, Robert and Jimmy David CAGLE and aunt, Trudy CAGLE. Visitation was held at the Burns Funeral Home in Yellville from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Graveside services will be conducted at the Peel Cemetery in Peel, Arkansas on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Carroll Johnson and David Chapman officiating. USAF (retired), age 82, of Springdale, Arkansas died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born December 1, 1924 in Oakland, California to the late Charles D. BRAMELL, Sr. and Mary LEE BRAMELL. He retired after 23 years in the United States Air Force having served in WWII and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 40 years of the home; brother of Pioneer, CA; children, son of Fayetteville, daughter of Brisbane, Australia, son of Clarkston, WA, son of Lewiston, ID; son of Ipswich, MA, son of Munford, TN, daughter of Boise, ID, son of Yellville, AR; and son of Phoenix, AZ; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials b made to the American Cancer Society, 3291 S. Mountaineer Echo Newspaper Week of January 4, 2007 issue: A memorial service for Zoe Ann JOHNSON, 48, of Flippin, Arkansas was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, at the Community of Christ Church with Pastor Gary Epps officiating. She died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Mrs. JOHNSON was born February 27, 1958 at Smithville, Missouri to Joe and Mrs. COULTER. She was married on July 13, 1974, at Gassville, Arkansas. She was a homemaker who lived in the area since moving from Van Buren, Arkansas in 1987. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. Survivors include her husband, of Flippin, AR; two sons, one of Palm Bay, Florida, and one of Yellville, AR; daughter, of Calico Rock, AR; five grandchildren; two brothers, of Platt City, MO and a brother of Mountain View, AR; and mother, of Flippin. She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson, Evan. Visitation was from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the church. Burial was in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
