	John Francis HAIRSTON was born May 4, 1822 in Montgomery County, Alabama, 
son of David and Isabella Hairston.  He married (1) Elizabeth Lee (2) Rebecca Hickman 
Holloway, a daughter of John Lee and Elizabeth McDade Hickman, in Bradley County.  He 
enlisted in Company "H" Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865.  He died August 1, 
1892. Burial: Ebenezer Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	George Washington HALL was born July 12, 1842 in Panola County 
Mississippi, the son of William and Lydie Richardson.  He married Anna Eliza Hannah, 
daughter of John and Julia Hannah, January 13, 1891, at Summerville, Arkansas.  He 
joined the army March 1862 and served in Company "B" Arkansas Regiment and was disbanded 
at Marshal, Texas May 1865.  He was a Democrat and a Methodist.  No Children.


	John H. HALL a son of William and Nancy Hall, enlisted in Company "B" 
Arkansas Cavalry from 1863 - 1865.  Wife:  Martha A.  He died September 15, 1884. 


	John M. HALL enlisted in Company "C" 19th Arkansas Infantry serving from 
1862 - 1864.  Wife:  M. C. He died March 31, 1907.  


	J. P. HALL enlisted in Company "C" Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1864.


	Levi HAMAKER was born March 25, 1850.  He enlisted in Arkansas serving 
from 1864 - 1865.  Wife:  Lou.  He died June 12, 1933.  Burial: Garrison Cem. Bradley 
County, Arkansas.


	Alexander HAMILTON was born February 25, 1845 in Bradley County, Arkansas,
as son of Jack and Lucilla Lacouture Hamilton.  He married Ellen Lievira Slough, daughter
of Abraham and Mary Barnhart Sough, January 12, 1871 in Calhoun County, Alabama.  He 
enlisted in Company "I" 2nd Arkansas Volunteers serving from 1861 - 1865.  Children:

	L. C. HAMMIL was born October 14, 1829.  He enlisted in Arkansas Infantry.
Wife:  Susan M.  He died January 11, 1901.  Burial:  Hickory Springs Cem. Bradley County,
Arkansas.


	James Benjamin HAMPTON was born September 14, 1827 in Putnam County, 
Georgia, the son of Edward Hampton.  He married Mary Wright, daughter of Roberson and 
Sarah Wright, January 9, 1853 at El Dorado, Arkansas.  He enlisted in Company "D" 11th 
Arkansas Regiment October 1861.  He served until the war closed in 1865.  He was a 
Democrat, a Baptist and died June 10, 1914.  Burial:  Gravel Ridge Cem.  Bradley County, 
Arkansas.  Children:

	J. M. HANKINS enlisted in Arkansas Artillery McNally's Battalion serving 
from 1861 - 1865.  Wife: L. J.    Rank: Private.  He died November 13, 1906. 


	George Washington HARCROW was born October 4, 1864 in Talladega County, 
Alabama, the son of David Harcrow.  He married (1) Anna Hollingsworth  (2) Martha Parks, 
daughter of Joseph and Caroline Parks, in 1888.  He joined the army May of 1863 and 
served in Company "C" Arkansas Cavalry and was paroled at Little Rock, Arkansas May 1865.
He was Presbyterian and died January 27, 1934.  Children:

	Charles William HARGIS was born December 30, 1848, son of Washington and 
Elizabeth Hargis.  He enlisted in Captain Reynold's Company from 1864 - 1865.  He married
Nancy Lewis Barker, daughter of Anderson and Carolina Hickman Lewis, January 7, 1875.  
He died March 2, 1932.  Burial:  Greenhill Cem. Drew County, Arkansas.  Children:

	Jarmon HARRELSON (possibly HARREL) was born about 1828 in South Carolina,
a son of Jesse and Rhoda Lane Harrel.  He married Nightly Rowell, daughter of Jonathan 
and Francis Flowers Rowell, May 17, 1860.  He died during the war, possibly at Pine 
Bluff.
     

	O. W. HAYGOOD enlisted in Company "H" 46th Georgia Infantry serving from
1862 - 1865.  


	William HEATHERINGTON was born in South Carolina.  He married Hannah Hane
Feemster in York County, South Carolina.  He enlisted in Company "C" 19th Arkansas 
Infantry.  He died December 7, 1862.  


	J. R. H. HENRY enlisted in Company  "C" 19th Arkansas Infantry serving 
from 1862 - 1865.  Wife:  Susannah.  He died March 20, 1890.  


	Wood Frances HENRY was born January 6, 1847 in Chambers County, Alabama, 
the son of Hugh L. W. and Charlotte S. Clark Henry.  He married Martha J. McManus in 
Calhoun County, Arkansas February 1890.  He joined the army August 1863 and served in 
Captain M. R. Medow's Scouts.  He was paroled in Montgomery, Alabama May 1865.  He was 
a Democrat, a Baptist and died in 1920.  Burial:  McFarland Cem. Bradley County, 
Arkansas.  Children:

	Green Lee HICKMAN was born January 18, 1823 in Montgomery County, Alabama,
son of Thomas William and Elishabe Frissil Hickman.  He married Mary Emily Lafferty, 
daughter of Benjamin and Sara Lafferty around 1852 in Bradley County.  He enlisted in 
Company "C" Hardy's Regiment, Arkansas Infantry.  He died February 3, 1907 in Ft. Thomas,
Arizona.  Children:

	John Franklin HICKMAN was born January 6, 1831 in Montgomery County, Alabama,
son of Thomas William and Elishabe Frissil Hickman.  He married (1) Mary Ann Reaves, daughter
of Joseph and Mary A. Reaves, November 11, 1850 in Bradley County (2) Mary Louise Lindsey, 
daughter of George E. and Mary Louise Hicks Lindsey, December 26, 1865, in Bradley County.  
He enlisted in Company "C" Hardy's Regiment, Arkansas Infantry.  He died November 14, 1906 
in Bronte, Texas.  Children:

	William Jasper HICKMAN was born April 14, 1830 in Montgomery County, Alabama,
the son of John lee and Elizabeth "Betsy" McDade Hickman.  He married Jane Wardlaw, daughter
of Douglas and Nancy Wardlaw, 1852 at Warren.  He joined the army January 10, 1862 and served
in Company "C" 19th Arkansas Regiment.  He was disbanded at Marshall, Texas.  He was a Democrat,
a Baptist and died October 1912.  Burial:  Marsden Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	William Larkin HIGGASON was born October 2, 1845 in Pike County, Georgia, the 
son of William H. and Lucy Story Higgason.  He married Naoma Jane Lee, daughter of Josiah and 
Mary Lee, February, 1867 at Jersey, Arkansas.  He joined the army April 1862 and served in 
Company "H" 20th Arkansas Regiment.  He was paroled at Jackson, Mississippi May 1865.  Rank:
 Private.  He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died July 17, 1918.  Burial:  Shady Grove Cem.

	John Overton HIGHTOWER was born September 1846 in Morehouse Parish Louisiana,
the son of James Jackson Hightower.  He married Mary Williams at Bastrop, Louisiana September
19, 1871.  He joined the army in 1863 and served in Company "A" Major Scott's Cavalry. He
surrendered at Shreveport, Louisiana May 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died April
14, 1928.  Burial:  Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	James Robert HINES enlisted in Company "C" 5th Arkansas Infantry serving from
1861 - 1863.  He married Susanna Lee.  He died March 20, 1890.  Children:

	James Robert HOLCOMB was born February 20, 1840 in Troup County, Georgia, the
son of Amziah Canada and Mary Sewel Holcomb.  He married (1) Ellen Dura Clements June 1861 
(2) Martha A. Baker, daughter of Morrel and Mary E. Baker, November  17, 1880.  He joined 
the army March 1862 and served in Company "D" Georgia Infantry.  He was paroled at Kingston,
Georgia May 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died March 8, 1927.  Burial:  Union Hill
Cem.  Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	George Thomas HOOKS was born February 25, 1847 in Pike County, Alabama.  He 
married Phairly Malissa Brouder, daughter of Hardy and Marinda Brouder, in Pike County, 
Alabama.  He joined the army March 1862 and served in Company "D" 9th Alabama Regiment and 
was paroled at Montgomery, Alabama April 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died 
March 8, 1927.  Burial:  Smyrna Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	John Cobb Ridley HOWARD was born in Granville County, North Carolina on March
18, 1831, the son of Thomas and Rachel Gooch Howard.  He married Ann Rebecca Gordon 1853 in
Granville County, North Carolina.  He joined Company "C", NC Whittington's Regiment and 
served two years.  He was a Democrat and died February 11, 1903.  Burial:  Ebenezer Cem. 
Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	John Austin HOWSEN was born August 27, 1827 in Shelby County, Tennessee, the son of
Dora Hamilton and Nancy Oliver Howsen.  He married Mary Elvira Reynolds, daughter of Andrew
and Cynthia Reynolds, June 7, 1865 in Holmes County, Mississippi.  He joined the army January
1861 and served in Company "K" 1st Mississippi Regiment.  He was paroled at Gainesville, 
Alabama May 1865.  He was a Democrat and died December 11, 1922.  Burial:  Ebenezer Cem. 
Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	Bent HUDSON enlisted in Company "A" 13th Alabama Cavalry serving from 1862 - 1865.  
Wife:  Hannah.  He died December 24, 1879.


	Moses Sanders HUGHES was born April 25, 1844 in Cherokee County, Alabama, the 
son of James E. and Mary Scroggins Hughes.  He married Bessie Weeks.  He joined the army 
July 1861 and served in Company "C" 40th Mississippi Regiment and was paroled at Greensborough,
North Carolina April 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died August 13, 1921.  Children:

James Glenn IVEY was born 1816 in South Carolina. He married Elizabeth ?Thigpen. He enlisted in Bradley County and served in U. H. Parker's Company. Children: 1. Elizabeth 2. Thomas P. 3. James W. 4. Julia A. m. John B. Ruffin 5. Winfield 6. Carolina 7. Malinda 8. Elbert
W. B. JACKSON was born December 6, 1850 in Charleston, South Carolina. He enlisted in South Carolina serving from 1862 - 1865. He married Jennie Hathcock at Millville, Arkansas October 28, 1873. He died December 23, 1932. Burial: Salem Cem. Salem, Arkansas. Children: 1. C. C. Jackson 2. Mrs. J. C. Jeter 3. Mrs. J. J. Easterling John William JARRATT was born February 9, 1840, in Fayett County, Tennessee, a son of John W. and Susan Granaway Jarratt. He married Frances E. Hickman, daughter of Francis Marion and Mary Wardlaw Hickman, December 13, 1866 in Bradley County. He died September 18, 1900 in Forreston, Texas. He enlisted in Bradley County and served from 1862 until 1865. Children: 1. John William, Jr. 2. Mattie L. 3. Mary Emma 4. Lorena 5. Lee L. 6. Susan Mack 7. Willia 8. Henry Faye 9. Joe 10. Eva James 11. Millard William Robin JEFFERS was born September 18, 1838 in Green County, Alabama, the son of George Simmons and Clarkis Hambly Jeffers. He married Margaret Lucinda Moseley, daughter of J. and Elizabeth Moseley of Bradley County, Arkansas. He joined the army and served in the 12th Louisiana Regiment. He was taken prisoner at Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1863. He died January 23, 1888. Children: 1. Mary Lucinda m. William W. Plair 2. James 3. Albert Robin 4. John Asbury 5. George Watson 6. Bowen Richardson 7. William Thomas James A. JOHNS enlisted in Company "A" 9th Louisiana Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Amelia. He died June 3, 1900. David R. JOHNSON enlisted in Company "I" 2nd Arkansas Infantry. He was killed. Wife: Mary Edward N. JOHNSON enlisted in Company "H" McNair's Brigade Arkansas Infantry serving from 1863 - 1865. Wife: Martha J. He died December 18, 1904. Evin JOHNSON enlisted in Company "C" 28th Regiment Louisiana Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Mary C. He died February 9, 1899. Green J. JOHNSON was born June 22, 1843 in Henry County, Georgia, the son of Wilson and Nicey Allday Johnson. He joined the army June 1863 and served in Company "H" 20th Arkansas Infantry and was disbanded at Marshal, Texas May 1865. He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died December 20, 1912. Burial: Wheeler Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. J. F. JOHNSON enlisted Company "A" 4th Mississippi Cavalry McNary's Brigade serving from 1863 - 1865. He died November 2, 1913. Rank: Private. J. Frank JOHNSON enlisted in 10th Arkansas Infantry serving from 1861 - 1865. Jacob L. JOHNSON enlisted in Company "G" 9th Arkansas Infantry. He was killed in 1863. Wife: Arabella. ("I think this is Anabella" note from Barbara Logan) Joseph W. JOHNSON was born November 15, 1839 in Choctaw County, Mississippi, the son of James and Elizabeth McCofferty Johnson. He married George Ann Pollard in Choctaw County, Mississippi November 5, 1863. He joined the army August 1861 and served in Company "D" 4th Mississippi Infantry. He was released at Macon, Georgia May 1865. Burial: Union Hill Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. James G. 2. Tennessee m. Rufus Stanley 3. Archie Boyd 4. Hattie Jane John S. JOHNSON Was born March 23, 1841. He enlisted in Company "H" 20th Arkansas serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: M. A. He died June 22, 1892. Burial: Union Hill Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas James White JOHNSTON was born March 9, 1840 in Washington County, Virginia, the son of Hugh and Sarah Ann Colbie Johnston. He married Emma Reaves, daughter of Matthew and Elena Reaves, at Warren, Arkansas October 17, 1866. He joined the army and served in Company "37" Virginia Infantry March of 1861. He was paroled at Johnson's Island March 1865. He was a Democrat and died October 13, 1925. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. James Hugh "Jim" Martin L. JOHNSTON was born April 15, 1834 in Sumpter County, Alabama, the son of Chesly and Sarah Russell Johnston. He married May Ann Ruff, daughter of John Ruff, in Ashley County, Arkansas April 22, 1860. He joined the army in March 1862 and served in Belton's Battery Louisianna Artillery. He was disbanded at the surrender May 1865. He was a Democrat, a Baptist. Children: 1. Albert Allen 2. Sarah 3. Oliver Martin 4. Mary 5. Martha Ella 6. Orin Major Abraham C. JONES was born January 26, 1826 in Charlotte County, Virginia, a son of James B. and Elizabeth G. Jones. He was a lawyer of the old school, having finished his law course and was admitted to the bar in Tennessee in 1852. He came to Bradley County, December 27, 1853 and was admitted to practice law 1854. He was Provost Marshal during the war and a member of the legislature. He married Mrs. D. C. Ganaway Wells June 10, 1856. He died July 10, 1897. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Mary E. B. 2. James C. 3. Kate m. J. D. Dunn 4. Grace m. Dr. J. A. Bond 5. Eula m. Thomas S. Meek 6. Leah 7. Abraham C., Jr. Samuel M. JONES was born April 18, 1846. He enlisted in Company "I" 34th Alabama. Rank: Private. He died April 6, 1898. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. J. A. JOYCE enlisted in Company "D" 44th North Carolina. Rank: Private.
William A. KEMP enlisted in Company "C" 19th Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Carrie E. He died October 7, 1891 John Leonard KENMORE was born March 29, 1841 in York County, South Carolina, the son of William Wiley Kenmore. He married Lula Rebecca Phillips December 15, 1881 in Simpson Arkansas. He joined the army May, 1861 and served in Company "C" 5th Arkansas Infantry and was disbanded at Raleigh, North Carolina 1865. He was a Democrat, a Presbyterian and died July 4, 1913. John J. KIGHT enlisted in Company "C" Arkansas serving from 1863 - 1865. Wife: Elizabeth. He died October 8, 1902. George Martin KINARD was born October 3, 1846 in Floyd County, Georgia, the son of Levi Webb and Mary Ann Collins Kinard. He married Carolina Catherine Copeland, daughter of James and Narcissa Copeland, September 13, 1866. He joined the army in January 1863 and served in Company "I" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry and was paroled at Richmond, Virginia April 1865. He died September 29, 1914. Burial: Ebenezer Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Francis V. m. Isham Epps Veazey 2. Columbus Franklin m. Loretta Veazey 3. Ida N. m. Marshall Neely 4. William E. 5. Ulah Lee 6. Anna m. James A. Adams 7. E. He died September 13, 1893. Richard Nixon KOONCE was born April 25, 1829, a son of Phillip and Marq L. Fields Koonce. He married Nancy Switzer, daughter of Reuben Randolph Switzer. He enlisted in Company "B" 1st Arkansas. Rank: Private. He died June 6, 1899. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Minnie Winfield 2. Fred 3. R. N. Jr. 4. Edward Lee m.
