	James Harvey ABERNATHY was born December 2, 1839 in Jefferson County, 
Alabama, the son of Sterling G. and Elizabeth Ware Abernathy.  He married Sallie Wood, 
December 24, 1865.  He enlisted in Company "C" 8th Confederate Cavalry composed of bother 
Alabama and Mississippi and was disbanded in 1865.  He was a Methodist Episcopal and died 
in 1899.  Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.  Children:

	Jesse Melver ADAMS was born July 27, 1844 in Choctaw County, Alabama, the 
son of William and Mariah Kinney Adams.  He married Mary Ann O'Neal, daughter of Raiford
and Nancy Raley O'Neal, February 28, 1868 in Bradley County.  He enlisted in Company "H" 20th 
Arkansas Regiment in 1863 and was disbanded in 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Baptist 
and died August 22, 1909.  Burial:  Ebenezer Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.   Children:

	John Thomas ADAMS was born January 24, 1843 in Choctaw County, Alabama, the
son of William and Mariah Kinney Adams.  He married Francis Emily Sharp, daughter of James 
and Rena Sharp, December 19, 1866 in Bradley County.  He joined Company "H" 20th Arkansas 
Infantry in 1863 and was disbanded at Marshall, Texas, May 1865.  He was a Democrat and 
died October 28, 1930.  Burial: Ebenezer Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.   Children:

2.	William Richard m. Ida Neely
3.	Elmyra m. Rev. M. W. Whayne
4.	James Selvin m. Cynthia Reddin


	Julius H. ADAMS was born March 6, 1847 in Coosa County, Alabama, the 
Son of Abner A. and Catherine Adams.  He married Nancy J. Hargis, daughter of Washington B.
and Elizabeth Hargis, January 4, 1866, in Bradley County.  He joined Company "B" Flippin's 
Battalion in 1864 and served until the surrender in 1865.  He was a Democrat, a Methodist 
and died January 27, 1927.  Children:

1.	Almyra E. m. William J. Leslie


	Will W. ADAMS was born August 7, 1865.  He enlisted in Company "C" 19th
Regiment Arkansas Infantry.  He was disbanded June 1, 1865.  He married Mary Jane Gardner, 
daughter of Solomon Gardner, September 13, 1871 in Bradley County, Arkansas.  He died 
February 28, 2895.  Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.


	L. H. "Lamb" ADCOCK was born December 18, 1850 in Drew County, Arkansas, son
of Wade Adcock.  He married Cora Holland 1873 in Drew County.  He enlisted in Company "S" 
Captain Sandusky's unit of the Arkansas Infantry, serving until 1865.  He died November 15,
1936.  Burial:  Green Hill Cem. Drew County, Arkansas.  Children:

	T. B. ALFORD enlisted in Company "A" Ripley's Texas Infantry.  Wife Emily. 
He died June 26, 1900.


	Benjamin F. ANDERS was born April 23, 1850, a son of Robert William and 
Nancy Splawn Anders.  He enlisted in Company "B" 36th Regiment Arkansas Infantry, serving 
from 1864 until 1865.  Wife: Mary.  He died August 22, 1905.  Burial: Shady Grove Cem. 
Bradley County, Arkansas.


	Joseph Marion ANDERS was born April 1, 1845 in Bradley County, Arkansas, 
the son of Robert William and Nancy Splawn Anders.  He married Rebecca Goodman, daughter 
of Jesse and Nancy Goodman., January 26, 1867 in Bradley County.  He enlisted in Company 
"C" 19th Arkansas at Warren, Arkansas in the spring of 1862 and was disbanded May 1, 1865 
at Marshall, Texas.  Rank: Private.  He was a Democrat, a Mason and a member of the Baptist
Church and died at Jersey on June 2, 1929.  Burial:  Shady Grove Cem. Bradley County, 
Arkansas.  Children:

	Robert William ANDERS, Jr. was the oldest son of Robert William and Nancy 
Splawn Anders.  He enlisted in Company "A" Flippin's Regiment.  Rank: Private.  He is 
believed to have become sick and died on his way back to Arkansas after the surrender of 
Johnson in North Carolina May 1865.  No record of marriage or children.  He was accompanied
by John Ragin Broughton and Bill Ederington when he is believed to have been killed. 


	Thomas G. ANDERSON enlisted in Company "H" Wright's Regiment and was a 
Private.  Burial: Hickory Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.


	Jesse ARMSTRONG enlisted in Company "D" Arkansas Infantry.  He served 
from 1861 until 1865.  Wife F. E.  He died June 3, 1896.


	James Maston ADKINS was born October 5, 1833 in Loundes Co. Mississippi, 
the son of James Maston Atkins, Sr. He married Mary Ann Wear, daughter of William and 
Mary Wear, in 1870.  He joined Co. "A" 2nd Louisiana Regiment in 1861 and was discharged 
at Vicksburg May of 1865.  He died May 15, 1926.  Children:

	Thomas AVERY enlisted in Company "G" 19th Regiment Arkansas Infantry.  
He served from 1862 until 1865.  Wife: S. B.  He died March 10, 1874.



James Monroe BAILEY was born March 30, 1844 in Heard County, Georgia, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary White Bailey. He married Bettie H. Burnett, daughter of James Burnett, May 1872. He joined Company "C" 5th Arkansas May 1862 and was paroled at Charlotte, North Carolina May 1865. He was a private. He was a Democrat, a Methodist and member of the Knights of Pythias. Children: 1. Mary 2. Eva m. William T. Thompson 3. Bert 4. Pat 5. Verna m. Theo Easterling 6. Blanche Edward Simeon BAKER was born March 28, 1846 in Newburg County , South Carolina, the son of Jacob and Eve Margaret Kinard Baker. He married Nancy Levenia Dawkins, daughter of Rueben and Louisa Dawkins, November 9, 1865 in Winston County, Mississippi. He joined Company "D" Pearson's Regiment Mississippi Cavalry in 1863 and was paroled at Forsythe, Georgia May 1865. He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died April 17, 1928. Burial: Union Hill Cem. Ed Harrod James BAKER was born May 1, 1833 in Perry County, Tennessee, a son of Jonathan and Martha Finch Baker. He married Mittie Ann Creed, daughter of Jake and Rebecca Creed, November 1, 1857 at Hermitage, Arkansas. He joined Company "A" 9th Arkansas Infantry October 1861. He was wounded in battle at Nashville, Tennessee and was furloughed and not able for service any longer. Rank: Private. He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died November 27, 1912. Burial: Holly Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. John William 2. Mattie Daniel Hardin BALFOUR was born December 5, 1845 in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi son of John Elizabeth Harton Balfour. HE married Emily Almira Gross, daughter of William Gross, October 7, 1869. He served with Company "I" 3rd Mississippi Cavalry. He died April 25, 1892. Burial: Holly Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. David 2. Jeppie 3. Calista E. 4. Zula Ione 5. Two children died in infancy Z. T. BARBEE enlisted in Company "F" 26th Arkansas Infantry serving from 1863 - 1865. Wife: Marinda C. He died March 10, 1905. Dock BARFIELD was born November 1, 1846, son of Stephen Barfield. He enlisted in Company "D" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry serving from 1863 - 1865. Wife Elizabeth H. He died May 23, 1882. Burial: Calvary Presbyterian Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. J. R. BARNETT enlisted in Company "B" Monroe's Regiment. Rank: Private. William Thomas BARRY was born May 1, 1838 in York County, South Carolina, the son of William Andrew and Eliza A. Watson Barry. He married Mary Jane Pierce, daughter of James and Mary Pierce, December 15, 1859. He enlisted in Company "H" 18th South Carolina Regiment and was disbanded at Appomattox, Virginia. April 9, 1865. He was a Presbyterian and died October 24, 1914. Burial: Hickory Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. John J. 2. Charles 3. Margaret W. m. A. W. Garrison 4. Watson Brown 5. Hugh B. BEARD was the son of John and Josephine Beard. He enlisted in Company "H" 20th Arkansas Infantry. Wife: Mrs. E. A. (Moseley). He died 1862. J. A. BEARD enlisted in Company "A" 1st Arkansas Infantry. He lived in the Confederate Veteran's Home near Little Rock, Arkansas until his death, April 24, 1932. James Henry BEARD was born in Bradley County, a son of John and Sarah H. Scobey Beard. He married Mary Elizabeth Bledsoe, daughter of Monroe and Cansada Bledsoe, December 15, 1870. He joined Company "B" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry and disbanded at Tyler, Texas, May 1865. He was a Democrat and died October 12, 1935. Burial: Beard Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. John M. 2. Ella Josephine James Thomas BEARD was born January 13, 1848 in Bradley County, Arkansas, the son of Samuel Barton and Sarah C. Clary Beard. He married Frances E. Neely, daughter of David and Violet Neely, January 30, 1877. He joined Company "B" Flippin's Battalion in July 1864 and was released at Camden, Arkansas May 1865. He was a Democrat and died December 11, 1924. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Rossie m. Jerry A. Wells 2. Rufus Barton John T. BEASLEY was born August 12, 1835 in Alabama, son of William and Melinda Germany Beasley. He married Mary Forrest 1861. He enlisted in Company ''B" 19th Arkansas Regiment 1861 and served until 1863. He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died March 1, 1899. Burial: in Saline Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Mary m. Ed St. John 2. Frances 3. Susan 4. Letha 5. Joe Nettie 6. Lavira 7. James W. 8. Rebecca S. 9. Ira D. H. H. BECKHAM enlisted in Company "C" 19th Arkansas Infantry. He served from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Luella. He died September 21, 1917. No record od Burial but probably Union Cem. in Bradley County. Children: 1. Walter W. H. BELIN was born 1848. He enlisted in Company "B" 1st Arkansas Cavalry. He served from 1864 - 1865. Wife: Mollie. He died September 1, 1924. Burial: Childs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. John M. BELL enlisted in Company "I" 23rd Alabama Infantry. Rank: Private. He served from 1861 until 1865. Wife: L. C. He died March 20, 1897. Matthew BELL was born 1835 in Georgia. He married Martha Jane Rowell, daughter of Jonathan and Francis Flowers Rowell. He enlisted in Company "B"19th Arkansas Infantry June 1862 and served three years. He died January 20, 1909 in Panola County, Texas. Burial was in Panola County. R. D. BELL enlisted in Arkansas serving with the Memphis Appeal Battery from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Nancy. He died February 17, 1905. Dixon Pierce BETHEA was born September 21, 1843 in Merriweather County, Georgia, a son of Fristian and Sarah Todd Bethea. He married Nancy Elizabeth Plair, daughter of William and Elizabeth Plair, November 20, 1879. He joined a field Artillery in Tennessee and was paroled at Meridian, Mississippi April 1865. Russell William Harrison BLANKINSHIP was born July 22, 1833 in Nottaway County, Virginia, the son of Samuel and Harriet Blankinship. He married Elizabeth Wainwright, daughter of Tucker Wainwright, July 12, 1865. He joined Company "A" 1st Mississippi Regiment of Sharpshooters April 1861. HE was paroled in Augusta, Georgia May 1865. Rank: Adjutant. He wasa Democrat, a Methodist and died October 14, 1921. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. George 2. William H. 3. Benjamin 4. Eliza m. John Gwynn 5. Marvin 6. Garland 7. Erwin 8. Ethel Samuel BLYTHE was born June 26, 1843 in Mecklinburg County, North Carolina, a son of James Elbat Blythe. He married Rachel Jane Mitchell, daughter of Hardy and Mary Mitchell, in Marion County, Georgia October 1866. He joined Company "C" 27th Georgia Infantry September 10, 1861. He was paroled in Macon, Georgia, April 1865. He was a Private. He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died November 2, 1915. Burial: Parnell Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Thomas Lee 2. Bradley County, Arkansas. N. H. BOND was born March 13, 1818. He enlisted in Company "D" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry serving from 1863 - 1864. He died March 8, 1901. Wife: Mary. Burial: McFarland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Erby BOND was born September 23, 1847 at Gadsden, Cherokee County, Alabama, the son of William Boyd. He enlisted at Bradley Co., Arkansas serving in Monroe Regiment of Cavalry. Thomas Merideth BOYD was born September 11, 1843 at Gadsden, Cherokee County, Alabama, son of William and Eliza Whorton Boyd. He enlisted in Company "E" 9th Arkansas. Hugh BRADLEY a native son of the County, was born October 21, 1832, the son of Capt. Hugh and Martha (Hunter) Bradley, who emigrated to this county in the year 1825 and became one of the first settlers. He married Amelia V. Blankenship 1854. He enlisted in Company "D" 9th Arkansas, and served during the war. Rank: Private. He was Sheriff of the county for 6 years from 1900 to 1906. Bradley County was named in honor of his father, and the town of Warren named for his colored servant. He died 1907. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Bettie W. 2. Henry 3. Jimmie 4. Martha H. Bradley m. B. W. Martin James G. BRADY was born 1831 in Chester County, South Carolina, a son of Phillips Brady. He married Louisa Jane Mann May 24, 1866. He joined Company "B" 19th Arkansas Infantry July 3, 1862 and disbanded May 26, 1865 at Marshal Texas. He was a Democrat. Burial: Smyrna Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Jacob BRASWELL was born April 10, 1841 in Marengo County, Alabama, a son of Jacob Braswell. He married Rebecca St. John, daughter of James Monroe and Elizabeth St. John. April 24, 1873. He joined Company "F" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry March 1862. He was disbanded in Louisiana May 1865. He died April 11, 1915. Rank: Private. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. John Calhoun BRATTON was born 1831 in Tennessee. He married Harriet Hairston, daughter of David and Isabella Hairston in Bradley County. He enlisted in Company "D" 9th Arkansas Infantry and served from 1861 - 1865. He was wounded. He died 1909 at the Confederate Veterans Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial: Confederate Cem. in Pulaski County, Arkansas. Children: 1. James Madison 2. John Robert 3. Virginia Mary Caroline 4. Nancy 5. Lizzie John A. BREWER enlisted in Company "G" Arkansas Cavalry and served from 1863 - 1865. He died March 28, 1919. Wife: Sallie. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. William Calvin BREWER was born April 4, 1845 in Winston County, Mississippi, a son of David and Tabitha Steed Brewer. He enlisted in Company "I" 35th Mississippi Infantry June 1863 and was paroled at Macon, Mississippi 1865. He married Lucy Jane Moore, daughter of Jackson Moore, June 1865 in Winston County, Mississippi. Children: 1. Mary E. m. Henry Key 2. Plyne M. Clinton Daniels 3. Jane 4. John 5. Luther 6. Eugene 7. Susan m. George Rhinehart B. M. BROOKS was born March 13, 1847. He lived in the Confederate Veterans home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Wife: Sarah E. He died April 19, 1930. Burial: Gravel Ridge Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. John Ragin BROUGHTON was born October 3, 1841 in Sumpter District, South Carolina, a son of Edward N. and Epsie E. Broughton. He married (1) Mattie Lee Holloway, daughter of Blake and Emile Holloway, September 27, 1868 in Dallas County, Arkansas, (2) Anna Burnett of Warren, Arkansas, (3) Melissa Terrell (possibly Ferrell) He enlisted in Blankenship's Company 9th Arkansas Regiment 1861 and was disbanded March 1, 1865 at Richmond, Virginia. Rank: Private and Non-Com Officer. He was a Democrat, a Baptist and died December 12, 1927. Burial: Shady Grove Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. William Edward 2. Epsie Lee m. J. P. Armstrong James B. BROWN was born August 11, 1835 in Bradley County, a son of John and Martha Bradley Brown. He married Emma L. Singer, daughter of John D. and Amelia Singer, 1867. He joined Company "A" 9th Arkansas Infantry and was paroled in Little Rock May 1865. He was a Democrat and died April 28, 1921. Burial: McFarland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. John Down Singer 2. Mary Hill m. Ed Holmes J. N. BROWN enlisted in Georgia's General Bennings Company. John BRUMLEY was born May 10, 1831. He enlisted in Company "K" 4th Arkansas. Rank: Private. He died March 4, 1908. Burial: McFarland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. William M. BURKETT was born 1829. He enlisted in Company "D" 33rd Alabama Regiment. Rank: Private. He served from 1861 - 1865 and was wounded. Wife: Caline. He died 1925. Burial: Smyrna Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas.
Saul CAPLINGER No service record. He married (1) Catherine Quimby May 26, 1870. (2) Elizabeth Quimby January 24, 1872, both in Bradley County, Arkansas. He died December 1893. Martin CARAWAY enlisted in the 3rd Regiment Arkansas Volunteers. He was killed December 18, 1964. Wife: Lavisa. Burial: Weary Rest Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. John Levi CARR was born December 4, 1849 near Quitmen, Mississippi, the son of John Carr. He married Julia Kaizer. He enlisted in Captain Elkin's Company Alabama Infantry serving from 1864 - 1865. Charles Reep Elisha Schroebel CARTER was born June 1, 1847, at Quinton, Lauderdale County, Mississippi, a son of William John and Elizabeth Moseley Carter. He married Missouri Kirby, daughter of Henry and Julia Ann Kirby, December 22, 1869, at Chidester, Arkansas. He joined Dockery's Brigade July 1864 and was disbanded May 1865. HE joined Dockery's Brigade July 17, 1929. Burial: Moseley Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. T. Albert 2. Theophilus James Gabriel 3. Elisha Joseph Goodwin 4. William Henry Schroebel 5. He enlisted in Company "C" 12th Arkansas Regiment and served four years. He married Mary A. Moseley, daughter of Elijah Baker and Harriett Moseley, November 9, 1865. He died February 12, 1930. He was killed June 20, 1864. Children: 1. Jesse James 2. Catherine 3. Jehu Milton CHILDERS enlisted in Company "I" 2nd Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Christopher Columbus CHILDS was born May 11, 1836 in Pike County, Alabama, son of William and Nancy Hathborne Childs. He married Emile L. Gannaway June 3, 1860 in Bradley County. Zachariah Wallace CLANTON enlisted in 31st Regiment Mississippi Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: S. E. He died January 29, 1879. H. F. CLARK enlisted in Company "I" 18th Mississippi Regiment. William Thomas CLEMENTS was born November 18, 1828 in Green County, Georgia, the son of Payton and Mary Tyler Clements. He married Martha Langston January 1866. Edward COLVIN was born October 1, 1828. He enlisted in 2nd Arkansas Infantry. Wife: Evaline. He died December 28, 1892. Burial: Hickory Springs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Samuel COLVIN was born November 10, 1840 in Athens County, Ohio, son of Jacob and Hannah Green Colvin. He married Ella Francis Coombs, daughter of George and Mary Smith Coombs, May 19, 1869 in Wright County, Minnesota. He enlisted in the 73rd Regiment of Indiana. Alvin Benjamin John CONNER son of Absalon and Matilda Conner, enlisted in Company "D" 20th Mississippi serving from 1861 - 1865. Wife: Mary. He died April 16, 1875. William Robert COOPER was born April 24, 1845 in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, the son of William F. Cooper. He married Josephine Jones December 1864 in Drew County, Arkansas. He joined Company "B" 2nd Arkansas Cavalry November 1863 and was released at Marshall, Texas May 1865. He was a Democrat a Methodist and died December 26, 1923. Burial: Childs Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Pleas C. COPELAND was born July 10, 1844 in Jones County, Mississippi the son of Samuel Shrady Duckworth Copeland. He married Mary Roberts October 1881 at Hamburg, Ashley County, Arkansas. He joined the army at Hamburg 1863 and served in Company "B" Bell's Infantry. He was disbanded at Monticello, Arkansas May 1865. He was a Democrat, a Christian and died 1919. Burial: Oakland Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Emma 2. James William COPELAND enlisted in Company "C" 5th Arkansas Infantry. Wife: Mary. He died August 15, 1904. John CORKER enlisted in 19th Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Mary L. Rotton. He died November 21, 1923. Burial: Wardlaw Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Benjamin Tardy L. COTTON Service record not available. He was born March 3, 1840 in South Carolina. Wife: Susan Jon Murphy. He died August 21, 1927 in Flint, Texas. Burial: Noon Day, Texas. Thomas Benjamin CRAIG was born September 18, 1846 at Dancyville, Haywood County Tennessee, the son of Daniel and Jane Montgomery Craig. He married Malinda Harris in Tipton County, Tennessee. Eh joined Company "H" Tennessee Cavalry September 1863 and was paroled at Memphis in 1865. Rank: Private. He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died May 12, 1931. Burial: Palestine Cem. John Farrar CRAWFORD was born August 4, 1842 in Wilcox County, Alabama, son of Titus and Basheby O'Neal Crawford. He married Josephine McKinney, daughter of Alex and Nancy McKinney near Warren January 1974. He joined Company "C" Arkansas Regiment and was wounded and not able to do any more service. He was a Democrat, a Methodist and died May 8, 1921. Burial: Good Hope Methodist Church Cem. Bradley County, Arkansas. Children: 1. Lillie m. Samuel Parrish 2. Edward 3. Myrtle 4. Joseph 5. Jesse 6. William B. CREED enlisted in Company "C" 24th Arkansas Infantry serving from 1862 - 1865. Wife: Margaret. He died December 15, 1895. J. V. CUNNINGHAM enlisted in Captain Owens Company Drew's Battery Arkansas Infantry serving from 1861 - 1865. Wife: Elizabeth. He died 1921. Joseph Walker CUNNINGHAM was born March 24, 1835 in Marshall County, Mississippi, the son of Isaac and Jane McBride Cunningham. He married Nettie Hurley, daughter of Aaron and Jane Hurley, January 8, 1880 at Coffeeville, Mississippi. He joined Company "F" 2nd Kentucky Cavalry March 1861 and was paroled March 1865.
