Sarah MURPHY had four sisters Deora, Florida, Diza, Clara, one brother Albert MURPHY. Sarah married a BLACK or BLACKWELL Sarah and Mr. BLACKWELL's or BLACK's child was Cora. Lived in Perry, Texarkana. Sarah born 1890's late, died 1972. Cora died in the forty's. Would like to know the first name of Mr. BLACKWELL, who his family is, who he was. He died and Sarah and Cora moved to California.

Today I found a biography on one J. MARATTA who came to Perry Co. (now Conway) to visit his sister. He came in 1853 to visit his sister and returned home only to return in 1857 to make this his permanent residence. Could someone give me some assistance on finding this man and what he did there. I believe that he is Joshua MARATTA, but am unclear on this. I am interested in knowing who his sister was as well - could someone shed some light on how to begin. Thank you in advance. My father was born near the Petit Jean River, probably in Yell Co. or Perry Co., Arkansas. His name was William Thurman THOMAS. He was born on May 30th in 1900. His fathers name I believe was Sidney THOMAS and his mothers name was Hattie AVERY or AVEY. I would like to find out more information on them as they died before I was born. I have no dates on their death or the dates they were born. Any info would be appreciated.

Looking for descendants of Frank M. GARDNER of Perry Co. Listed on 1900 census in Tyler TWP with 5 children, wife Mary A. He and his first wife are my gggrandparents. Their daughter, Blanche (Lizzie B.), married to John HANNA,1891, in Nimrod Perry Co. Their daughter, Susie Elizabeth, married Birdie Lee (A. C.) MYERS in Perry Co. They had at least 4 children born there. Blanche (b.1923), Don (b.1925), Betty Sue (my mom b.1927) and Dorothy (b.1929).They moved to TX and had 4 more.

Am looking for information on McKenzie/McKinzie A. BAKER the son of Adget and Julia BAKER, who married Ada B. PEARCE. McKenzie was born in August of 1860 in Madison County, AL and Ada was born in July of 1863 in Illinois. They were listed in the 1900C in Perry County, AR in the town of Casa. Need info on both and the parents of both. Know that Ada's parents were William and Mary PEARCE.

Correction to an earlier post: know now that Adget M. BAKER, father of Mckenzie BAKER did not die as first thought in Arkansas, but possibly in Alabama and that his wife, Julia was listed on the 1900C of Madison County, AL with her daughter, Lucinda STEPHENS. So I am not sure when, if at all she made it to Arkansas, but two of her sons did, Mckenzie and John W. and would like any information on them. Mackenzie did settled in Perry Co. and married Ada PEARCE, as of 1900 they had one child, a daughter named Maggie.
