I am trying to locate Jane/Jane Caroline GUTHRIE, born between 1826 and
1830 in Giles Co., Tn. According to her grandfather's estate settlement
in Giles Co., Tn. it was stated that she married a HAMILTON and lived in
Arkansas, location unknown. One of her sister's married John M. Franks.
One of John M. Franks' sisters, Mary Jane Franks, married Jacob C. HAMILTON
and they ended up in Miller County, Arkansas and Jacob C. Hamilton died
in MILLER CO., AR. 2 Feb. 1893. We are hoping that possibly Jane/Jane Caroline
& family may have moved to MILLER CO.,AR. also. So far, all efforts
to locate her have been in vain. Would like to correspond with anyone who
has any information on this family. Betty Guthrie McCollum P.O. Box 176

I am looking for information on a HOOPER family that were apparently quite
prominent in years following the Civil War. William HOOPER is said to have
come to Miller County around 1857 from Rusk County, TX. He had a farm consisting
of 320 acres in the county and in 1861 joined the 19th Texas Confederate
Infantry and served until June, 1865. His wife was Miss Frances ALLEN.
Does anyone have any information on this family?

Am searching for into on my GFather on mother's side. George Whitfield
KERR b. Oct. 15, 1865 in NC & migrated to Miller Co., AR. Married Sarah
(WILLIAMS) ROBERTS, in Miller Co., Ar. Dec 21, 1892. (She was b. Sep. 15,
1862). she was the widow of E. M. ROBERTS of Miller Co., AR. Family rumor
is that E. M. ROBERTS was waylaid by a highway robber and killed Abt. 1890-92,
and this left Sallie with children, so, George married her to give the
children a home. If this be a true story, we thought there should be some
kind of article in the newspaper covering Miller Co. Sallie's maiden name
was WILLIAMS. She had a brother Guy WILLIAMS from Miller Co. also. Any
help you could give on this query would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks
and Happy New Year. Walt Vaughan WVchub El Paso, Tx.

Seeking information of WESTBROOK and CABINESS families. Seeking a marriage
of Lafayete Westbrook and Rebecca Cabiness, probably ca 1878 or 1893. They
were married the earlier date in supposedly an Indian ceremony but had
to undergo a group wedding in the 1890's as the government did not recognize
their Indian ceremony.

Looking for info for following people. Dr. Stinson Edward ADCOCK (also
called Dr. Eddy Adcock) 2nd wife was Dora Emma BARRINGTON. Dr. Stinson
Edward Adcock had nine children. 5 with 1st wife (name may have been Cora
Dodd?) and 4 children with his second wife Dora Emma Barrington. Dr. Stinson
Edward Adcock's youngest son (named L.D Adcock or D.L Adcock) was born
1910. His first wife was Ruth Lott. They had one son Ted Lewis Adcock (b.1930,1931).
L.D (D.L) Adcock then married Dora Irene Davis on 1 April 1937 and moved
to Marysville AR where they had four known children (Ruth, Earle, Larry
Don, Wanda Charlene) Can anyone add to this/verify? Really interested in
Dr. Stinson Edward Adcock's parents and siblings? There is info on a Stinson
Adcock b. 1834 and d. 1910. This means his last child L.D (D.L) Adcock
would have been born a month before his death (age 76!). Thanks!

I am searching for information on the BRAZELL family, who lived in Miller
County in the latter 1800's. I am particularly interested in contacting
a descendent of another branch of the family. Derrell B. and Mary BRAZELL
moved there to the Bright Star and Sulphur Springs area of Miller County
from Georgia between 1850 and 1860. They had five sons living there at
the time. They also had four daughters. The sons' names were: Moses K.
BRAZELL(born 1834); Derrell Hampton BRAZELL(born 1841); Elijah Valentine
BRAZELL(born 1845); Isaac Pinkney BRAZELL(born 1847); and Wesley H. "Handy"
BRAZELL(born 1849). Moses married a Lousiana or Susan PEACOCK there in
1859. After 1860, I have been unable to find them. Nor have I been able
to find info. on Derrell Hampton or Handy. I have lots of information on
Isaac and Elijah, but I really need to find someone, possibly a Brazell
descendent, who can tell me what happened to Moses, Derrell Hampton, and
Handy. Thanks.
