Description
Saving Graves - Arkansas
Assoc for Gravestone Studies Association for Gravestone Studies - Lending Library
U.S. Geological Survey

If the link won't work, try this one!   http://geonames.usgs.gov/redirect.html   The USGS site is fantastic for gathering GPS Coordinates and satelite maps on specific locations. For example:
Feature Name: Cemetery
State or Territory: Arkansas
County: Crawford

Click "Send Query". When the results table appears, click the column header "Feature Name". This will sort the results alphabetically. Now click "View and Print All" on the bottom left (no this will not send the data to your printer... They're just being tricky!) And finally, click "Alexander Cemetery". On the far right of Alexander's Feature Detail Report, there is a small table entitled, "Mapping Services".

The two best maps for Crawford County, Arkansas are "GNIS in Google Map" and "MapQuest". Both have very, very minor drawbacks, however when working in conjunction, they're the best. Google is just Google (now and then, a small street isn't drawn in), and MapQuest has just outdone themselves on providing labels to the historic / very small communities (once in a while, a small street isn't labeled).

Those tribe members whose applications were accepted were entitled to an allotment of land, usually as a homestead, in return for abolishing their tribal governments and recognizing Federal laws.

Family Tree / Ancestral Chart
Four-generation Ancestral Chart-A family tree chart records the ancestors from whom you directly descend--those for whom you intend to compile a complete and correct family unit. It shows at a glance the progress you have made towards this goal and what remains to be done.
Research Calendar
The research calendar gives an account of every family tree source you have searched and serves as a reminder of what you have already done and where you have found pertinent information.
Family Tree Research Extract
Use the research extract sheets to summarize family tree information which cannot be photocopied, for which there is no document in your possession, or for things such as deeds which may be time-consuming or difficult to reread quickly when you need information from the copy you have.
Cemetery Records - pg. 1
Sheets for keeping track of cemeteries. These sheets are useful for people who wish to keep track of information in graveyards or sexton's records. Invaluable for Family Gravesite Plot records.
•  A first page. This allows one to map a cemetery and has room for cemetery contact information, as well as room for two gravestone entries.
Cemetery Records - pg. 2
Sheets for keeping track of cemeteries. These sheets are useful for people who wish to keep track of information in graveyards or sexton's records. Invaluable for Family Gravesite Plot records.
•   Second page. This sheet has a smaller map (perhaps a portion of the map on the first page), and room for six gravestones enscriptions.
Correspondence Record
When making a family tree it is important to keep track of those with whom you have corresponded, the reasons for writing, and whether or not you have already received an answer.
Correspondence Record II
A correspondence log sheet. This sheet looks similar to the research log, but keeps track of letters you've sent to others for information. The document number refers to letters and responses you've sent out. You may not use this much, but it'll be invaluable when you do, especially for keeping track of foreign correspondence.
Family Group Sheet
Each piece of information concerning a family tree member and his/her family is placed on a worksheet. Since the end result of your research efforts will be to compile complete, correct and connected families, the use of family group sheets from the beginning will make the compilation much easier.
Family Record Sheet
This sheet was the main source for tracking family data before software came along. Too many people have gone away from hard-copies. Great genealogy requires that hard-copy records are still kept. This sheet features references for each piece of information. Take your hard-copy files or folders along when you go to the library, genealogy society meetings, cemetery photo journaling, etc.
Pedigree Chart
This is a cross from a version found in Reunion and a chart from the LDS. Its main feature is that it's simple.
Pedigree Fan Chart
EIGHT Generational Fan Chart
This is one of the best Pedigree Fan Charts online. Holds 8 generations (255 people)! This chart makes it all so simple! Every hard-copy Family Group file or folder needs one.
