Bonnie Bee Lefler Lewis, 83, of Clinton, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005. She was born March 1, 1922, in Clinton, to Bryan Lefler and Myrtle Lefler.
She was elected Homecoming Maid and Queen of Hearts at Arkansas Tech University in 1941. She was Van Buren County's Fair Queen in 1941. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Chancel Choir. She was the office manager for Farmers Home Administrative for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorthlea; and a brother, Martin Lefler.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Warren Lewis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lewis and Vella Lewis, and James Lewis and Linda Lewis; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen Harrod and Jerry Harrod; a sister, Polly Johnson; three grandchildren, Bryan Lewis, James Harrod, and Lindsey Harrod.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 22, at the Clinton United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers were Dennis Brawner, Clell Douglas Johnson, David Chance, James Lefler, Dickie Lefler and Clell Lewis.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton United Methodist Church, 613 Joe Bowling Road, Clinton, AR 72031.

Stella Ruth Baker Bone

Stella Ruth Baker Bone, 90, passed away May 4, 2007. She was born August 28, 1916 to Orville and Lula Baker. She attended the First Baptist Church in Clinton. She is survived by a son, Jim Bone of Glendale, AZ; her daughters, Rachel Jean Anderson of Yuma, AZ and Mary Lou Jacobs of Clinton; a sister, Lula Lee Hudson of Carnesville, GA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Interment was at the Clinton Cemetery with arrangements by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton, AR.
Lloyd A. Turney

GREEN VALLEY - Lloyd A. Turney, 82, of 13004 Townline Road passed away at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007, at his residence.
Born Feb. 2, 1925, in Higden, Ark., to Robert A. and Amanda (Linn) Turney, he married Hester Elizabeth Johnson on July 27, 1946, in Heber Springs, Ark. She died Sept. 29, 2006, in rural Green Valley.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are two daughters, Anna (Marvin) Palm of Pekin and Beth Turney of Bloomington; one son, James (Linda) Turney of Green Valley; four grandchildren, Amanda Turney of Green Valley, Michelle Palm of Pekin, Christopher (Teresa) Palm of Crestview, Fla., and Laura (Alan) Hunt of Scott Air Force Base; one great-grandson, Zachary Bussan of Scott Air Force Base; one sister, Anna Mae McCarty of New Buffalo, Mich.; and his twin brother, Floyd (Esther) Turney of St. Joe, Mich.
Lloyd was a World War II Army veteran and served with his twin brother in the Pacific Theater. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 31 years, retiring in 1981 as a repairman in Building LL in East Peoria. Following retirement, Lloyd farmed in Cincinnati Township.
He was a devoted and faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin for more than 50 years. He also was a life member of Roy L. King Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1232 in Pekin.
Lloyd loved to fish and was a beekeeper for many years.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Tim Najpaver will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Burial will be in Sand Prairie Cemetery in rural Green Valley, with military rites accorded by the United States Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
