WELCOME TO SCOTT COUNTY
ARKANSAS

Scott County was formed November 5, 1833, from an area that was once Pulaski County and later Crawford and Pope Counties. The county was named for Judge Andrew Scott. Check here for more information about changes in county lines & to view photographs of county buildings & county TOWNSHIP MAPS. On May 22, 1882 a courthouse fire destroyed all county records. In spite of that, I hope you will find useful information in the records and indexes posted below. This website was organized in 1996 as part of the USGenWeb Project. The Project is non-commercial and fully committed to free genealogy access for everyone. Delaine Edwards, County Coordinator
