Looking for couples A.J. McBRIDE and Prisscilla A. DAVIS (married 20 Sept. 1860) and William McBRIDE and Eliza FORTENBURY (married 15 May 1859) in Calhoun County. A.J. McBRIDE, 27, shows up in 1860 census in Caswell Twp. living in household of Elizabeth Coleman with (presumably younger siblings) P.B. McBRIDE, 23, M and Eda McBRIDE, 18, f. No William McBRIDE in 1860 Calhoun census. Then, 1870 census shows neither A.J., P.B. nor William. However, Ouachita has an A.J. McBRIDE, age 40 (not 37) married to a Mary, age 36 with children born before 1860. (That is, assuming I can read 19th century handwriting). Anybody know: 1. Are these 2 A.J. different men 2. If not, what happened to the younger A.J. 3. What happened to William & Eliza?
