Every effort has been made for accuracy in transcription. The marriage records were found in "The Genie" published quarterly by the Ark-La-Tex Genealogical Association, Inc. in Shreveport, Louisiana. "The Genie" can be found at the Shreve Memorial Library Genealogy Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
All Marriage Books will be A, B and C with the page number after the letter. Many of the early marriage records are recorded in the Circuit Clerk's Office in Deed Books. Abbreviations are:

These five marriages are included because FINDLEY, GRAY, DUNN, HAMPTON, GRACE, LOVE and ALLEN are names common to Union County and these couples could have been living in that part of Arkansas that was later Union County.
