You have a wonderful site; it is like going into a candy store with too many choices to choose from. The first thing I looked at was the Cemeteries and found a picture of Lavaca Cemetery where my great- grandparents are buried.

Very good site! I had relatives in the town of Lavaca, Sebastin County, Arkansas during the 1880's. My great grandfather Andrew A. Bata and his family. My grandfather Reuben A. Bata was born there in 1887. If anyone has information particularily concerning my great great grandfather John Patrick Bata it would be appreciated.

I found a Thomas Crow on a death register in this county for Nov. 10, 1918, aged 68 which means born 1850. I have a Thomas Crow born in Canada working for the railroads down in Arkansas. I found him in 1910 in Clark County. I cannot find him in 1920. He is born about 1855 and want to find out if he is the same man who died in Sebastian in 1918. Can anyone help? Great website.

I am trying to put together a biographical sketch of the life of Sidney M. Barnes, who was born in Estill County, Kentucky, in 1821. Although I have tracked his life across Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and New Mexico, I have been unable to find what that middle "M" stood for, nor anywhere a photograph of the man. He had two sons who both lived at Fort Smith and that subsequent to his death and until her own his widow Elizabeth lived there, too. Would you by any chance know how I might establish whether there are any descendants or relatives still living in Sebastian County? As you see, I am doing "long-distance" research!
