WITHERSPOON CEMETERY NEAR VANDERVOORT, ARKANSAS. POLK CO.

Location: From Downtown Vandervoort: One mile south on old Hwy #71, then one-half mile East on Gravel Road.

History: Samuel G. Witherspoon was the first person buried in this cemetery. He selected this burial site in early 1850's. In 1965 his great-grandson erected a brass marker at his gravesite in Samuel's memory.
