Trell (Haynie) Cotton

Mrs. Cotton, County Native, Claimed by Death

Mrs. Trell Haynie Cotton, aged 78, of Fordyce, formerly of Cleveland County, died Staurday, August 4. She was the widow of Charles T. Cotton. She was a retired school teacher and bookeeper. Mrs. Cotton was near New Edinburg, the daughter of the late Ira Haynie and Sallie Waldrop Haynie., She was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Fordyce.

She is survived by a step-son, Charles T. Cotten, Jr., of Texarkana, Texas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Chloe Sutton and Mrs Cora White, both of Texarkana, Texas; and five sisters, Mrs. Marie Shepard of Little Rock, Mrs. Vera Russell of Kingsland, Mrs. Ola Morgan, Mrs. Dessie Haynie, and Mrs. Wanda Sue Towery, all of New Edinburg.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, August 5, at the Benton Funeral Home chapel in Fordyce by Rev. Glenn Knight and Rev. Bill Reynolds. Burial was in the Smith-Morgan Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home. Pall bearers selected were Ramond Castleberry, Jimmy Cearley, Robert L. Russell, Joe Towery, Johnny Johnosn, Gary Morgan and Scotty Stewart.
