Mary Sue (Smith) Broach

FORDYCE — Mary Sue Broach, 64, of Fordyce, died Monday. She is survived by her husband, Carl, five children, a brother, 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Broach Cemetery.

Mary Sue Broach, age 64, of Fordyce, died Monday, March 1, 2005, in the Dallas County Medical Center at Fordyce.  Born March 5, 1940 at Huntsville, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Claude Smith and Virginia Vining Smith.  She was a homemaker and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Fordyce.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Dewayne Broach and a sister, Preggy Murph. 

Survivors include her husband, Carl Broach of Fordyce; three sons, Carl Broach, Jr. of Pella, IA, Michael Harris of Excelsior Spring, MO and RIchard Harris of Russellville; two daughters, Rebecca Ann Williamson of Angleton, TX and Sandra Thomas of El Dorado; one brother, Bobby Smith of Port Orchard, WA; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 3, in the Broach Cemetery with Rev. Tony Atkins officiating. Burial was in Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.  To sign the online register: www.bentonfuneralhome.com.
