Joe D. Green

Joe D. Green age 66 of Pine Bluff, died Friday June 17, 2005 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born September 29, 1938 in Black Springs, Arkansas, a son of Earnest Green and the late Ethel Vaught Green. Mr. Green moved to Pine Bluff in 1965, attended Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and was with the Arkansas National Guard during the Vietnam Era. He owned and operated "The Cloth Shop", was a salesman for Trotter Ford, Smart Chevrolet and Grant County Ford before his retirement. He enjoyed his garden and flowers and was of the baptist faith. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Vaught Green.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Pat Green of Pine Bluff; father, Earnest Green of Mena; four sons and daughters -in- law; Scott Green of Russellville, Todd and Brandi Green of Little Rock, Jeff and Jenni Brown of Rison, Greg and Debra Brown of Bentonville; one daughter and son- in-law, Cindy and Clay Wilson of Cabot; one brother and sister -in-law, Harold and Joyce Green of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 20, 2005 at Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Brother Harold Green officiating. Burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the Buie Funeral Home in Rison.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Brown, Greg Brown, Clay Wilson, Perry Green, Kevin Green and Richard Johnson. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
