NEW EDINBURG — Mrs. Bertha J. Marks, 100, of New Edinburg, Ark., died Nov. 17, 2004. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at St. Francis United Methodist Church, New Edinburg, by Rev. L.T. Marks. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery by Brown-Williams Funeral Home of Fordyce.

Bertha J. Marks, age 100, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in the Bradley County Hospital in Warren. Born September 7, 1904 at New Edinburg, she was a daughter of the late Silas Jenkins and Estella Dupree Brox. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Francis United Methodist Church at New Edinburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Marks.

Survivors include one son, Rev. L.T. Marks of New Edinburg; two daughters, Doris Smith of Wichita, KS and Alice Watkins of New Edinburg; one brother, John T. Jenkins of Omaha, NE. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., November 24, in the St. Francis United Methodist Church at New Edinburg with Rev. L.T. Marks officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery by Brown-Williams Funeral Home.
