ALBERT GARDNER, 83, FORMER SMITH TWP FARMER SUCCUMBS
Funeral services for Albert H. Gardner, agd 83, who died Sunday in a Pine Bluff hospital, were conducted from Buie Fruneral Home Chapel Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Jacob Bagley of Pine Bluff. Burial was in Prosperity cemetery.
Mr. Gardner, a retired farmer, had made his home in Smith township until moving to the Union Community, near Pine Bluff, several years ago. He was a member of Bethel No. 2 Baptist Church as Herbine. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Homer Gardner of Detroit and J.O. Gardner of Little Rock; 52 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Active -- Rob and Luther Gardner, James Ashcraft, Dick Shelby, Jack Bowden, Walter Price, Harvey Riley and Fred Monk; honorary -- E.R. Robinson, D.E. Strahan, Ernest Etter, Jewell Jones, Homer Sandine, J.E. Reed, Oscar and Barney Rauls.
