Born in 1797 in Georgia, Uriah Parker first married in Montgomery County, Alabama at age 22. He married 3 times over the course of his life. John P. Hogins performed the marriage between Uriah H. Parker II and Susannah J. Davis on 11-26-1819 in Alabama. They had one son, Walter C. Parker.

Uriah married his second wife, Mary Woodward from South Carolina. Their children were Jacob, May, Sarah A., Caroline, Washington (Elisha), Kezziah, and John. Uriah and his second wife and family, as well as son Walter, are all in Bradley County in the 1850 census in Pennington Township. Uriah served as Sgt. in the Civil War and owned 480 acres of land.

Then he married his third wife, Temperance McClendon, a widow. She had a son Alfred McClendon. (1850 census) In the 1880 census Uriah H. Parker is living with his daughter Sarah A. Parker Hairston Creed and her husband and children. Both Sarah's husband and Uriah Parker are listed as preachers in 1880 census. Uriah was active in Ebenezer Baptist Church; his home church back in Alabama went by the same name. Rev. Parker died in 1880 and is buried at Prospect Cemetery in Bradley County.

Walter C. Parker married Mary L. Hudson and had 4 or 5 children by the 1860 Census. Walter served in the Civil War (RT.CO.E.9th Ark.) He was discharged July 26, 1862.
