Unknown - Can you help identify the two women in the middle?

"Hi Barbara,
I just found the Bradley County photos website. I'd like to add some photos to the "Unknown" pages. I found the attached photos among old records from my mother. The 4 photos were all wrapped together in tissue paper, suggesting they belong together.

The man is undoubtedly William Alvin Williams, my grandfather. I have a picture of him when he was about 80 and there is no doubt it is the same man. My guess on the date would be about 1901-1906 based on Alvin's birth date in 1876 and the young man appearing to be 25-30. On the back of Alvin's picture is the photographer's stamp that says M, J, H, Joyce on the first line, Photographer on the second line, and Warren Ark on the third line. There is also a stamped number 9320 that appears to be some sort of id number. One of the women's photos has the same M, J, H, Joyce stamp but no number.

I don't know who the women are, but I suspect that one of them could be Della Parnell, Alvin's first wife and my grandmother. Florence Ardella "Della" Parnell married William Alvin Williams in 1898 (local genealogies incorrectly say she married Evan Parnell, but a look at the original documents in the court house plus family records shows she married Avin -- Evan cosigned as surety on the marriage application, and is incorrectly shown as groom on the copy of the certificate). Della died in 1916. Alvin married Camella Ann (Campbell) Moseley in 1925. Alvin died in 1963 and Camella died in 1983.Della, Alvin (William Alvin Williams) and Camella are buried in adjacent graves in Oakland Cemetery in Warren.

Della's parents were Joseph Marion Parnell and Sarah Jane Bryant, and their parents were Benjamin M. Parnell and Sarah C. Robertson Parnell. I really enjoyed seeing the picture and reading the information about Benjamin and Sarah on the Bradley County website.

Thanks, Ray Bland

UPDATE! Here is a good copy of the portrait of Alvin Williams and Della Parnell Williams, ca 1905.

"I just came across a set of house photos that one of my aunts sent to my mother about 30 years ago. The photos include one of my aunt's bedroom with a display of photos on the wall. The centerpiece of the display is a large picture of "Mom and Dad" according to a note on the back. This picture makes it clear that the woman on the right on my "Unknowns" is Della Williams (Florence Ardella Parnell) and confirms that the man is Alvin Williams (William Alvin Williams).

I'd still like to know who the other two women are. ~~Ray"
