The photo was taken at Rison, Cleveland Co., AR. A similar Rison photo exists (of an older man with a fuller beard), which may be of his brother, Alfred Ozment
(1804, Jamestown, Guilford Co., NC - by 15 Aug. 1877, Drew Co., AR), although no distribution copy of it yet exists but may come to exist soon.

James H. Ozment served in the War of 1812 from Wilson Co., Tennessee. He fought at the Battle of New Orleans under BRADLEY and PENNINGTON.

James once owned land in Warren that borders the lot on which the Bradley County Courthouse stands.
