Roy Lafayette Clower and view across the street from the Coker Hotel UPDATED! 20 October 2007

"This picture is of my grandfather, Roy Lafayette Clower, of Warren. He drove the train
which is now in the City park when it was used to haul lumber for the Southern Lumber Co.
Later he was the janitor at the post office. He was the father of the late Jack Clower of Warren,
Billie Richardson, now of Little Rock, and Helen Harris, late of Warren." ~~ John Richardson -

Unknown people "possibly" in the Coker Hotel Lobby

NOTE :This may actually be the lobby of the Thornton Minor Hospital - does anyone know for sure?

NOTE from Pat Stedman Minchow's brother Ken:
I don't remember the lobby at the Coker to be anywhere near that large. It was a low ceilinged hole going back a ways, not the high view in the picture. The office/counter was on the left, or actually straight ahead as you went in the door. I think the entrance was on the east side, with street side being to the south. Garden to east and rooms to west. Gladys and Raymond lived in the middle of the first floor of the north side. They had a single bulb (no shade) hanging from the middle of the ceiling. ~ Ken Stedman
