Arkoal School - Arkoal, Ar.
I took this picture around 1970. My Uncle James O. Almond drove me out to Arkoal from Ft. Smith to show me where he and my mother Lucille (Almond) Warren had gone to school in the 1930s. Since this picture was taken the buliding has been renovated and is now being used as the Arkoal Community Baptist Church.
Below is my mother's Certificate of Promotion from 3rd to 4th grade issued 30 April 1931 at Arkoal.
