Rachael Caroline Kinney Submitted by Deborah Musgrove The Arkansian April 23, 1859 Rachael Caroline Kinney, died in this city on the morning of 8th inst. at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Rachael Caroline Kinney, late wife of Mr. George D. Kinney, in the 32nd year of her age. Mrs. Kinney was born in Cass county, Georgia, in the year 1827 on the 1st day of December and was, consequently, 36 years of age. She has been a resident of Ft. Smith for several years. She was a consistent member of the Methodist Church, and died, as she lived, a christian, full of the christian hope of happy eternity. In all of the walks of life Mrs. K. was highly esteemed, she was an affectionate and faithful companion, a fond and loving parent and a good neighbor. She leaves a husband, several small children and many friends to mourn her death. May they not mourn as those without hope but feel assured that she has made a happy exchange from this earthly tenement to a habitation on high, at God's right hand in Heaven.[The Arkansian took this obit from The Fort Smith Times]
