We are pained to announce the death of Mr. John Hare, after a
short illness, of pneumonia, in the fifieth year of his age. A week ago
Mr. Hare was in the full prime and vigor of manhood, attending faithfull to his offical duties, greeting all with genial smile and ready wit, passing the merry jest with a heartiness
that made him friends wherever he went. Mr. Hare was born in the county of Wicklow, Ireland, May 1, 1833, and emigrated to this country in 1849. His death occurred on Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock, at his late residence on the Texas Road, from whence his remains were taken to the Catholic Church this morning at 7:30 o'clock, where funeral services were held by the Rev. Lawrence Smythe.
