Col. William Glass, at one time a prominent lawyer of this city, died at New Orleans on the 21st ult. Col. Glass was at one
time the law partner of Gen. W.L. Cabell and married Miss Sue Rector. Although a brillant man
endowed with extraordinary abilities, he allowed strong drink to get the better of him, and left
here about 1873 never to return.
