Elmer Emmett Yancey was born August 16, 1906 at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Robert F. & Elsie Bell Hall Yancey. September 27, 1932 he married Dessie Lovell in Franklin Co., AR. They were both residents of Lavaca. Elmer enlisted in the US Navy April 4, 1944 and served until October 24, 1945. Nothing more is found about his service. May 15, 1970 Elmer passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
