George Hunter Wright, Jr. was born July 23, 1911 in Fort Smith,
Sebastian Co.. Arkansas to George Hunter, Sr & Emma Mary Epple Wright.
February 2, 1936 he married Artie Mae Pope in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
October 16, 1940 Hunter registered for the military draft at Fort Smith, Ar.
He enlisted in the US Navy April 5, 1944 and served until December 29, 1945. His
rank was S1c or Seaman First Class. Nothing more is found about his service.
George Hunter Wright, Jr. passed away April 9, 2002. His burial was in
the Fort Smith, Arkansas National Cemetery.
